WELL I HAVE SOMEONE IN PRISON AND I KEEP PUTTING MONEY ON MY ACCOUNT AND ITS 30 DOLLERS FOR AN HOUR TO TALK BUT IF UR LOCAL IT ONLY COST 3 DOLLERS AND SUM CENTS WELL I CALLED TO ASK WHAT A LOCAL NUMBER WOULD BE SO I CAN TELL ATT TO CHANGE MY NUMBER AND SHE SAID I CANT TELL U THAT AND I WAS LIKE WELL WHY THE HECK WILL I KEEP WASTING MY MONEY WHEN I HAVE A LOCAL NUMBER 318 AREA CODE SO SHE SAID I HAVE TO GO SORRY WTF THEY ARE JUST MONEY SUCKERS ITS BEST TO JUST WRITE A MOTHER FRICKIN LETTER!! Have received a call from either 318-746-1250, or 318-746-1114 every morning (sometimes twice per morning) without fail, for the last 6 weeks straight. I have not accepted a single call from them, and started automatically blocking all calls from them, but they still have yet to miss a single day. If anyone can answer these questions, I'd really be keen to know: does it cost these inmates anything to be able to use the phone to call me, or is it totally free? Also, are they allowed to just dial any number they want, or do they have to get numbers approved first? Lastly, how did they get my number in the first place, and why don't they give up after weeks of trying? (I have never known anyone in jail, and my number is not known by many). Anyway, I guess I discovered the 'true caller' app thanks to city telecoin annoying me to my breaking point, so silver lining I guess.

As a matter of fact, City Tele Coin DOES pay for these collect calls up front. Also, they OWN the payphones in the jails. They can only bill $50.00 in collect calls to your phone bill, IF your phone company even accepts their billing. (Anything over that they can chalk up to lost revenue, because your [***] probably won't pay for the calls anyway.) Then, you can either open up a Direct Pay (prepaid) account & talk to your inmate or get a pen & pencil and start writing. Your choice! Have a fantastic day full of positive thoughts.

get your head out of your a$$ Micheal!Sure there are a lot of ppl who are in jail because of something they did, there are a lot of reasons people may be in jail for what ever reason.HOWEVER......there are more people than you think, (or want to think), that ARE innocent, the incidents of Wrongful Convictions in this Country is MAJOR! Especially if one doesnt have a TON of money to pay their way out of the Just-Us system, (just us who can afford High Dollar Attys).I hope for you that you NEVER have to deal with the Just-Us system for your or a family member, especially IF you are innocent. Again, I am NOT saying everyone id innocent, BUT, there are some.

OK the collect calls were billed to my phone bill but now they have blocked her from calling and put my number on a blocked list!!! I have always paid my bill on time every time ok I paid the bill and they said That I have to have credits showing the I paid for the calls, when I called City Telecoin they spoke with my phone company and the company told her my bill was paid in full and then the lady from Telecoin told me even though my bill was paid it didn't matter I still needed the credits on my bill. So how in the hell do I do that b/c they are wanting this before I can even set up a pre-pay account. I think this is absolutely stupid I mean the calls were paid for so why the hell can't I just set up the pre-pay account?
