Called today from this number. All he need was my credit card number to qualify me. I asked him for a bit of information, got a name and said I would check with my financial institutes to see if he was on the "up and up". He told me he would call back in an hour. I proceeded to call my bank and was told not to give out any information and that my banker would call me. Just had the feeling that it was a scam
Time to vent...We have regularly been receiving unwanted/unsolicited calls from (321) 304-9999. The automated sales pitch identifies their company name as "Card Services". However, our Caller ID feature idenfied that caller was a cell phone user in Florida. Today we used the menu driven system to speak with a live person and asked them to put our number on the DO NOT CALL list. We were told "No -- I can't do that -- that's not my job!"We've tried ignoring their calls. We've tried to discontinue further calls via several methods. The dude we just spoke with refused to allow us to speak with his supervisor or provide contact info so we could write or email the company to stop calling us. The dude said to call Obama!
Call from Rachel, Credit Card Services, #321-304-9999, is a scam trying to get your credit card information. If you answer it don't do any good to tell them to quit calling.Don't Fall For IT
I continuously get Racheal from card holder service. This is a d#@# cell phone. This is complete B S how do I get this person to stop I keep blocking # and they still keep calling. So much for our worthless gov reg.
The FCC can do nothing about these calls as they use dummy numbers. This is the first time I've rec'd the call from this number. I've rec'd same call from several different numbers. If you call the numbers back, they are not in service. Welcome to the new telemarketing/scam age, my friends. I've tried turning them in to the phone company, have called our State's Attorney, etc. Untraceable and a waste of time, so I'm told.
I spoke with my phone company and the FTC. These are crooks trying to scam people out of credit card numbers. The FTC is working on trying to shut them down. The best thing to do when you receive a call is to not answer. Do not press "1" to speak with them or "3" to 'discontinue receiving calls' since doing so lets them know that they have a live person, in which case you will receive even more calls. If you want to register a complaint with the FTC (to encourage them or give them a better sense of how many people are affected), call 1-877-382-4357.If you are with Qwest, dialing *57 will activate a call trace. This costs $1 and I'm not sure if it helps, but it may encourage them to put more resources into solving the problem. If nothing else, you can talk to a Qwest representative about the problem. I found them to be very helpful and informative.Note that the scammers are spoofing their caller ID, so it is impossible to effectively block or trace them. The "truth in caller ID" act of 2010 would have prevented such nonsense, but it never became law. Search for "truth in caller ID act" to learn more.
Been getting calls from this number. 1st time pressed 3 to make calls stop. Today I pressed 1 to be connected to an operator. After man answered I asked what cc he was calling about. He said MasterCard and Visa. Told him I already asked to be taken off here and he replied "Shut up, shut up, shut up, F**** you B*****, I am gonna strangle you and kill you immediately and hung up on me. Tried to call number back on caller id and the call can not be completed as dialed. Wow!
