I don't answer unknown numbers anymore however, when I answered one of these calls at one time, I merely asked what credit card they were inquiring about. The party on the other end said "What credit cards do you have?" and I said "None of your business, just what card are you asking about lowering my interest rate?"He got quite hostile and disconnected. Do I feel bad? NO!My attitude is "Call someone who cares!"Smarter

I just got a call too and I work in telecom and found out that the TN was assigned to the customer from MetroPCS. I wonder if we could call and report this to MetroPCS??? If they have an unlimited plan then I doubt MetroPCS would be happy to hear they are using it for telemarketing!

Yes, they say it's for lowering your interest rate. Their telephone numbers vary from day to day and sometimes, a name will appear on caller ID. I decided to press 1, to speak to someone to tell them to get my name off the list. When I asked where they got my number and what was the name of the company, he asks, "do you have monthly interest on credit cards?". I said no and again asked my question and told him that what he was doing is illegal. He hung up on me. BTW, the area codes always change so you don't know when not to answer. I had them from 321, 620 and 717.
