I got the same thing, they were very forceful. I hung up and called my credit card and they said it was a scam
Idiot caller just called wanting something for nothing
Just received a call from this number, no message.
Credit card scam calling about an "urgent matter" about lowering my current interest rates. I hit "1" to talk to a live operator and explained I don't have any debt and that they keep calling my work cell number. The operator became beligerent and said "we wouldn't be calling unless I had major debt problems..." I went off on the caller and said I would hunt him down and kick his [***] and told him that he should call the police to report that I threatened him. He hung up on me. They call almost daily from diffrent bogus numbers. Complaints filed to FCC after every call don't seem to help. I can NOT take these calls anymore!!!!
Unless there is an app you can download for a Droid phone, your blocking options might be limited. I had a Droid Razr with Verizon service. My free blocking was limited to 5 numbers. To block more than that I would have had to pay Verizon a service charge of several dollars/month on my bill for a limited number of additional blocks. This is a ripoff, of course, and it makes Verizon complicit in the unethical and usually illegal phone call based phishing and fraud industry. And yes, this not just an editorial. I also got calls from 334-505-7098 and blocked them on my new iPhone.

It sucks. Scam calls are getting wilder than ever — they’re even spoofing IRCC’s number now.
So when you pick up and hear that little ‘beep…’ at the start, it’s usually a scam.
Just hang up without hesitation

When you answer the call, it seems like there's nobody on the other end. It looked like a number worth blocking. Yes, I did.
