I think this is a scam. Got the same email as several others from Expedia, saying hotel reservation was cancelled and to contact them at this number. My Expedia account says nothing about the cancellation, and still say everything is a go. I contacted the hotel directly and they also have my reservation. I feel that the comments on this number that say it is legit are also scammers!
had an email to claim it was from Expedia and to call this number - didn't correspond with any of expedia's number, so I assume a hoax (naturally I didn't call the number), but beware of this number!
This number is legit. I called the main Expedia reservations # 1-888-397-3342 and they confirmed what was in the email that I got with the 1-844-814-6703 number on the bottom. My hotel reservation was cancelled.
It's legit. I'd made a reservation through Hotels.com and got a voicemail that morning that the hotel I booked online was overbooked. Turns out they use Expedia for rebooking -- who knew? They not only found me another hotel but paid the difference, which was DOUBLE the room I'd tried to book! Happy camper here.
I got an email from hotels.com saying to call this number because my hotel reservation had been cancelled. Instead of calling this number I called the hotel that I reserved at and they informed me that they had received my payment and that my reservation had not been cancelled. This is not a legit number and clearly a scam
No idea. Got a call and an email with all the correct info stating that I needed to call to rebook. I called the hotels.com number directly and the lady verified with the hotel that my reservation was not cancelled. Don't know what to think?????
Most likely legit: Received an email claiming to be Hotels.com saying that the hotel I booked is no longer available, and providing this number as the call-back number. Instead of calling this number, I called the number on Hotel.com's website to confirm, and my booking is indeed no longer available.
I can also verify this is legit number. I got an email from expedia telling me my hotel was cancelled because it was overbooked. They had my reservation number and it was an expedia email. This was the number given to call. They re-booked me and paid the difference in price. I was very skeptical and thought I got scammed because it was clearly a Philippines call center and my profile in expedia never reflected the change in itinerary. After NUMEROUS calls to expedia and several hours talking to call center staff I was able to confirm it was legit.
