Just received the same call from the same guy - very heavy accent. He left a message, sounded like he was reading, but was having a difficult time pronouncing everything. "John Baker calling from Legal Affairs of US Treasury." Don't believe it and don't give him any information.

I received the same call at my home phone for my adult son who moved away years ago. "John Edwards" called but I had to listen several times to even make out his name, let alone the rest of the message. He advised getting a lawyer because this was such a "big mess". Very heavy accent!

just got the weirdo moments ago-accent and all,same pitch as others who received similar messages. Wanted my sons' cell phone no.-which I did not give him- he gave me this 347 number and urged that son should contact him about a serious legal matter- said he was with the "dept. of legal affairs" which I never heard of. Just to check, I called the number 347 408 0386 out of curiosity- busy signal- no answer . Who are these strange people? and what can be done about them?

Same issues as most everyone that posted earlier. Male with an accent, either Kevin or Ken Green, from dept of legal affairs calling about an enforcement act place in my name, which the first name was incorrect. I called back with no answer, it just kept ringing. I then researched and found this site. Thanks for the heads up.

John Edwards from the department of legal affairs told me that I didn't pay my taxes and they have issued a warrant for my arrest for tax evasion . I asked what they wanted now and they didn't ask for money just hung up. Guess I didn't sound like I believed them since i do pay my taxes.

got a call from this number told him to give me his name and badger number. I called him back then asked for the address he was calling from he didn't I called him a terrible con artist and that I would report him. He's not answere me back now

Tried to scam me said I owe back taxes

Just received a call asking for someone who no longer lives in this household telling me that legal action is being taken against her by the Department of Treasury. Comes up as unknown name. Anyone who is legally working for the federal government would not be hiding their name or the name of the Department. What are these people truly trying to do? They also keep calling my cell phone number.

Same exact thing, John Baker, although didn't sound like a John Baker, said he was from IRS. I told him this wasn't how the IRS notified people of a problem and he hung up.

Also received phone call from this number- said his name was David Johnson. When I said I had my attorney present, he used sexist foul language and hung up the phone. These people should be arrested.
