We have caller ID, so we don't answer any calls from numbers we don't know. When I looked at the phone, it showed 2 different numbers - which I thought was pretty strange. The two numbers are this one (347-630-9825) and also 862-236-1252, which I googled and is also a scam number!
they called on 12/22/15. Left no message. I called it back and got a generic "call could not go through" Verizon message.
Robocall from "Tim" from "customer service." The call waits for an answer and then claims that you have an opportunity to win something, like all you can drink. Only I have crohns: I'm drinking anything. It seems this number is also used to perpetrate IRS scams. It could be that they are checking that the number is valid before moving onto to other business. Well, another number to block.

Got the same thing DM1 reported. So, I just blocked the number and reported it to my phone carrier.
