Got a call on my business line. Was an automated call from 949 945 9311. Told me her name was Leslie Owens from Legal Affairs. A legal action had been taken against my name. I, or my legal representative needed to call her immediately. Did not think it pertained to me. Had only had the phone number for a short time and had had several calls, (scam spam?) to the previous business. Then received 2 calls on the same day from 360 208 0829, automatic calls, telling me this was the last warning, IRS was filing a law suit against me. Also on my business line. Talked it over with a friend. Called the number from his office. 'IRS' answered directly. The officer gave me his name and badge number and my case number. I had been fraudulent towards IRS and owed them $11,287. I had 2 options, there was already a warrant out for my arrest. Either I could come to Washington DC with a lawyer, which would cost me $30,000 to $40,000 or I could make a substantial payment directly. If I hang up, it would automatically go to the first option. When I disputed that I had not received anything written about this, he claimed they had not been able to get hold of me. They had called 2 times before but I had not responded. I asked what adress they had sent the letter to, he could not reveal this information. All information was at the federal courthouse, where they were just waiting to arrest me. We were debating for several minutes, then got transferred to his supervisor. I asked which telephone number they had used to contact me. He gave me the phone number from where I was calling, which was my friends office and had nothing to do with me. We ended the call. My landlord is a lawyer. She found no outstanding arrest warrant for me and googling that phone number saw all the reports against that number. Authorities are apparently investigating it. I have notified the police.
Basically, the same as everyone else - woman's voice left a msg that the IRS has filed a law suit against me - and it is imperative that I call them back - well, I have an address and we all know that if they are looking for us - they'll surely find us!!! Did not/will not return this dumb call!!
Best thing I ever did is disable voicemail on my landline. I don't pick up any calls from unknown members, but google them immediately. So far 2 calls from that number
Raymond WA A multiple robocalls from the IRS. We also got another call about legal action against a name and social. Not sure if they are related but came one after the other. The first call about name and social came from Unavailable 3021
Got 2 calls from this number. First caller left automated message saying calling from IRS because they are suing me, important to call back. Call from same number the day before left no message. I don't plan to call back.
Britt, you should never return these kinds of calls even if you think you're playing their same game. Instead, do what you finally did and report it to the police or to the IRS. Somehow they'll catch who's going to.
got a call from this #. When I called him on his fraud he started talking filthy to me. I told him what I thought of people like him. Told him no government agent would call and tell people they we going to put them in jail for not paying. I could not help myself. I kept calling him back and harrasing him. I also went to a local facebook site and warned people about him. 1 gentleman in our town believed him and went either to western union for bank and was going to pay. luckily the person waiting on him knew him and called his son to get it stopped. It comes up on the caller Id as unassigned
