Got a call from this number at 11:30 am on Sunday morning. No message left, as always checked this site and found this page. I don't use Walgreen's, don't have any scrips anywhere. For those that think this is real just smile and give them your SSN and date of birth. Maybe post all your info here to save time, mother's maiden name also, PLEASE.
IF it is Walgreens, & IF it is a legit. service, then they should only calls those that have requested the service. I did NOT appreciate a call from that # on Sunday morning, my only day to sleep in. And they called my cell phone! They woke me up, but I didn't answer it because I don't know anyone in the 402 area code. They left no message.Another post said the local Walgreens Pharmacy doesn't know anything about it. So how do we get them to stop calling??!!! I want to be taken OFF their list.
It may actually be Walgreens but the call was about a prescription that I have never had. Still seems strange especially since they ask to verify birthdate.
I just got this call too. Usually when Walgreens calls to auto refill the number is a local # I'm in an 815 area code. Kinda weird...
Walgreens Refill Reminder calls. This is a centralized and automated service from walgreens, so it won't come from your local Walgreens number. The service was using an 800# to make the calls, but were unable tie a caller ID to that number, so for customers they switched to the new number. Caller IDs should now read "WALGREENS REFIL".
This person asked my mother (who is older) for her social which she refused to give. Kind of scary considering all the scams that are out there and scarying older folks!!
I cannot believe that Walreggen's would call long distance to inform any one about their prescriptions. Thats is why we go to local stores. Any time any one asks for personal information, ie S.S., birthdate, or any other information, that your local Walgreens should already have, should be a really big jolt to your senses. Red flags should be going off quickly.I received this message twice today, first time they did not leave a message, the second time they did and left an 800 number to call. I just called my Walgreens and checked it out. They don't know anything about these calls. Please be careful and use your God given brains to reason, on why out of state Walgreens would be calling. It is our lives and we need to be careful about giving out information that could make our lives miserable for a very long time.
This number has called me 4 times every single day since March 27th and when I don't answer, leaves no message. If it's Walgreen's, it needs to STOP! I do not refill any prescriptions over the phone. I bring the empty bottle to the pharmacy inside the store, and I have told them repeatedly to remove my cell phone number from their system. If it actually is Walgreen's, I'm going to tell them I will no longer use their pharmacy because I am TIRED of them calling me on a number I told them to remove from their computer.
