IT'S REALLY WALGREENS PEOPLE. IF YOU HAVE AN ACTIVE PRESCRIPTION WITH THEM, THEY WILL SEND YOU A REMINDER...IT'S VERY CONVENIENT FOR MOST AND ANOYING TO A FEW PARANOID PEOPLE.
I use walgreens but never gave them my phone number (I never give out my phone number) and if this is a legitimate call, why didn't they leave a recorded message? My rule of thumb is if the number isn't in my address book I don't answer it, and if they call and don't leave a message to identify themselves I don't pay any attention to the call.....
I AGREE!!!!The store I was using, wasn't submitting my scripts properly for reimbursement, and now they are sending me bills for copays from January!!! Plus... my account was attached to a debit card!!!I've since switched to Walmart ... So much better & soooo much cheaper!!!!
I heard a piece of advice regarding scams, if you are suspicious of a call, such as this purported Walgreens call, go to their web site and research it for authenticity. Do not call any numbers or connect to any links supplied by someone you don't know, in this case the caller on the other end, do not call this number back until you know whose it is, go out and find the company's website on your own and see if this service is legit.
If u have an iphone download the Walgreens app. When u need to refill launch the app and scan the bar codes on your prescription bottle. The app will tell you where and when to pick up the med. Great service.And yes the phone number 402-220-1100 is a from Walgreens, calling to remind you to get refills.

This number is for Walgreen's refill service. If you don't want to keep getting these calls, call the Walgreen's customer service number on the their website and ask to be removed from the the reminder calls. The local store has nothing to do with these calls.
