This is Walgreens, not a conspiracy. No, it's not your 'local' Walgreens number, it's a customer service line that reminds you to refill your prescription. They call me around the same time every month as a courtesy reminder.
They didn't leave a message for me, so I assumed it was another telemarketer until I googled the number,
I don't believe 402-220-1100 is Walgreens. When I get true Walgreens calls, they are from the local Walgreens number of the pharmacy I use, and they have generic automated messages (such as "your prescription is ready for pick up"). I am NOT required to submit ANY information. My local Walgreens indicated that if I use their auto-refill service, the automatic refill is followed by the same generic reminder message call.
My nephew works at Walgreen's headquarters. And I use this no for prescription refills. It is their reminder service. It will usually try you twice and if you don't respond they won't call again, you'll have to call your local store when you're ready for your refill.
I find it very annoying that they call all the time myself. Surely people can be responsible enough to know when their prescriptions need to be refilled. Or, it should be a call by request.
Call came from the Omaha/Lincoln, Nebraska area. They said that were Walgreens, and noted that my wife's drug was due for a refill. She gets these calls and they are on the up and up, although a little irritating, as she is right on top of the refill issue. Rossi
It is Definately Walgreens auto refill service. Any prescription that is or can be refilled autmatically is on here, and at my last pickup, the pharmacy even wrote on the bag to get onto the auto refill service, to call this 402 number. You enter your birthdate, and it brings up any prescriptions on your account with Walgreens that can be auto refilled and any that are due for refill. There is no conspiracy, and there is no reason that this should be thought of as a scam or sent to the freaking FBI. C'mon people! Geez...
Personally, after reading these comments, I think some of us desperately NEED to pick up those meds... ASAP! You know, those tranquilizers won't work unless you actually take them!
It is Walgreens. I refill my prescription every month by answering this call.
