Hey, whaddaya know, it actually was a legitimate phone call - from Walgreens, regarding a prescription refill. Usually "they" leave a message but this time it was a hang-up.

Apparently this is indeed walgreens but it just seems strange since I haven't filled a prescription there for, oh I don't know, like at least 3-4 years.

It was Walgreens for me. Used it many times. Do you people have nothing better to do than argue about a stupid auto- refill phone call? Put all that negative energy into something positive. Volunteer at a shelter, tutor a child, save a homeless animal, stop spreading negativity....Sheesh!

Whether its Walgreens or not. This prescription reminder service called my number early this morning & again later this afternoon. They were reminding someone about their prescription who I don't even know. If this reminder service is so great, why would they call my number? They didn't ask for my name when I called the number back, they just said the person's name & told me to press 1 if I was that person or 2 if I wasn't. I pressed 2 the first time I called it & the automated voice said, this so called person would have to call for his reminder. I called the number back a second time & waited for the automated voice to ask if I wanted to opt out of getting reminder calls. To opt out of getting reminder calls, you just press #3, then the number is removed from their service. If this service is so great, why would they let anyone opt out for someone else? I don't shop at Walgreens so, there was no need for them to be calling my number for anyone.

Flatus, this is a scam you friggin moron. They don't ask ANY pesonal info over the phone, they just tell you your prescription is ready. You're an idiot. Can I have your social security number??

I do get my prescriptions at Walgreens but I am tired of getting phone call reminders from this number. If I have a prescription that I need I call. Plus the pharmacist said if Walgreens calls it is from a local number.

They called but didn't leave a voice mail.

This definitely Walgreens refill reminder service. They asked for my birthdate and when confirmed they told me the exact refill I had on file that needed to be refilled. THIS IS NOT A SCAM, whoever says it is... is dumb!

So, I just got a call from this #. I wasn't aware that I had a refill being called in or was going to be needing one soon. However I am on a daily maintenance dose of Naproxen which was indeed about to run out. That being said I"m not too comfortable with giving out any kind of information over the phone either. So what I did was called my local pharmacist and double-checked with her and informed her that people were claiming that this # was a scam, etc. She told me that they just got a notice, that yes indeed there is somebody out there attempting to phish people's information by claiming to be Wal-Green's. She said the only information that you should be asked if it is indeed the Wal-Green's service is your birthdate, if you are asked any other information then it is the phishing scam. So there, you're all alittle right :)
