The call I received stated that I was being recorded and that they were an internet search engine verifying information. Wanted me to verify physical and mailing address. Who are these people?
I also got a call from this number. I picked up and said, "Hello?" and it starting ringing...and I immediately hung up and said to myself..."Oh that's sneaky."About 16 minutes later I saw the same number and this time when I answered I didn't say a thing and listened for a moment and could hear background noises and then I said, "Hello?" and in the most horrible accent I didn't understand what the heck they said and said, "I'm sorry, who is this?" and they said "Info USA is my company, is such and such your company?"Well, I wasn't about to divulge the info they had, seeing how the previous phone call had an air of scam or selling tactic to it so I played dumb and was like, "What? I can't understand you." They proceeded to say something and in the middle of it I hung up. I kinda hope they call back....it's been a slow day in the office...lol I could use a laugh.
i got a call form a guy asking if this was my business he then continued to sell me something that he knew my business didnt need. then lead to asking for my email address. denied!
They did the same thing to me a few years back. When I found the charge on my phone bill, I called them up. They played a tape of me agreeing to a web directory yellow page listing - On the recording, they asked me if I wanted it and my voice replied "Yes." I told them that the questions had been faked and they said that they "don't have the technology to do that. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the supervisor agreed to remove the charge from my phone bill. They didn't. I repeated the process and they again promised to remove the charge. They didn't. Sprint finally removed the charge. A year later, they called me again. Same spiel.DO NOT ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS!
I get calls from this number every other day, I have asked them to stop and am told I need to write to some e-mail to stop it. This is soo totally ridiculous.

402-390-3659 - Thanks for all the information. I got a call from this number at work. I also heard ringing also when I answered, but I hung up after they said "Hello." I keep a list of "bad" numbers from my caller ID, and then when I get a call from one of them I just pick up and either lay the phone down on my desk or just hang right back up. After a while, the message gets through.
YES! They are a scam and they call way too often! I always say the 'owner' is out of town and they should probably never call back. My secretary answered this number once and she was too nice to stop answering her questions. I got a call back later that day to confirm ordering something for $40.00. Luckily I think we were in the clear this time.
The caller wanted information about my business. I asked how much they would pay for it. Not surprisingly, they won't pay ANYTHING for it. As I have no incentive to give them free stuff, the convo was short. If a company wants your information and will use it to make money, DEMAND YOUR SHARE.That is all.
