Unfortunately these guys have friends in high places. I knew a telemarketing manager who purchased lists from InfoUSA. They flew her (all expenses paid) to Aspen, CO; as a large customer. She also play golf while in attendance. The foursome in front of her included William Jefferson Clinton, POTUS 42. That evening at the InfoUSA dinner, Hillary Clinton was in attendance as well. And now you know some of the politics of the "Do Not Call" list that those nice politicians did for all of us to protect us.....Ha Ha Ha......PhoneBoy
This number called my business today, InfoUSA on the caller ID. When I answered I head a ringing as if I had called someone. I hung up immediately. Unbelievable these guys are continuing to waste productive businesses time - the first report of them on this site is over three years old!
I am called by these people a few times per week. I send it to voice mail when I have an office phone with caller ID, and I never answer any questions when I do get them just telling them that I'm not interested and hang up. Yet, like cockroaches, they keep coming back. It disrupts my business when I'm with a client and my phone rings. These ridiculous people who are trying to profit off of my information without my consent. I hate losing productivity to scammers. Please stop the nuisance calling. Please, please, please stop!
here's the easy way to get off the list:call the number back. at the message, press 0 ZERO for operator. someone will answer, tell them you'd like your number removed. they may try to say they don't have your number, but you know they do, so wait, or ask them to check the other database. They'll then find it, and take you off.
They're still at it. They called my home phone number.
Call the number back, press 0 to talk with Peggy. She'll tell you that your business can't be added to the Do Not Call List. Explain that she is required to keep a DNCL at the company. She has caller ID, but ask her to verify your business information.
asked to verify information qbout my huwbqnds business.
From this number they call every day to our office and nobody talks. I suscribe my phones @ www.donotcall.gov but still I am receiving calls from this number.
I was called from this number today. As I didn't recognize it, I wrote it down and Googled it while still on the phone. I asked at least 3 times who was calling, and the caller quickly told me that it was a New Business Database verifying information for internet searches. I asked how much it would cost and she said that it was a free service. I had a very hard time understanding her while she was "identifying" herself. In the midst of this I came across this listing of posts and I asked her to put me on the do not call list. She said thanks and hung up. Not very persistent at that point!
This number appears everyday on my cellphone - day and night. They will not stop. Never leave a message - just stop the madness - I dont want any!
