Just recieved a call today on my biz phone. I am on the no call list and dont want to be called either . I did not answer cuz anything outta state I wont answer anyways because , I know its a sales call . only thing it showed here was their number on caller id . they stayed on line long enuff to activate my voicemail but did not say anything .
ME TOO!!! This number has been calling every day for weeks! I decided to google the number and found this forum. Absolutely ridiculous
Info USA called today for nnnth time. There call was intercepted by my call interceptor which informs the caller to stop. Stop it doe snot, but diverted to limbo, that's good enough. Caller never heard by a human voice.
Please have contentfeedback@infousa. com discontinue calling our home phone- 770-892-5017, if this is the appropriate place to report these constant unwanted calls.Thank you.
I can't initially ignore out of area numbers as many of my potential clients have recently moved here and might still be using out-of-state cell phones. But, I'm suspicious of those and it doesn't take much to quickly recognize the standard BS and hang up. It usually starts with dead air, a click, and then "May I talk to...etc, etc". As I take all calls on my iPhone (direct and forwarded), I add these numbers to a catchall "Scam" contact. I created and assigned a silent ring-tone to that contact. It doesn't actually stop the calls, but they no longer annoy me. This one just joined the list.
My phone rang around 8:30 this morning, and I was still in bed. "Damned if I'm going to answer that," I said out loud, but it had already woken me up and the old-fashioned answering machine kept beeping. The caller didn't actually leave a message. So I got up and checked the number (which, without caller i.d., costs me 69 cents), by the way, and when it was out of state, looked it up online.I don't have a business, but just a license in the city and I get all kinds of crap, mail and phone calls. I despise it all! And political crap (mail and phone calls, too) as well! But sorry for the rant; THIS is why I don't answer my phone when I'm right there, except when I'm feeling really lucky and think there will be a person there.I think this is just a big, stupid call center, not necessarily a scammer. They're probably selling numbers to other big stupid retail centers, that want to sell businesses stuff and send me catalogs I don't want.
