I had a charge for $218.00 on my VISA listed as PP*BESN BEISK. Contacted paypal and they showed no transaction. Cancelled credit card and filed dispute. The only time card was used was for a merchant through paypal. Paypal has a breach in their system or there is a fraudulent merchant.

I got hit with $44.00 on my Visa.It read, "DetailsTraining and Educational Appears on your statement as: PP*CLS 402-935-2244 MO 63367 US"I did not charge this amount.

On 1/21/16 I got a letter from my credit card company stating my credit card had a hold placed on it due to suspicious charge. I pulled up my account and saw what CapitalOne was talking about. This phone number is associated with the phony charge of $236.70 for cleaning services. Info on statement for the transaction is as follows "PP*HJHJKBY EDS 402-935-2244 OH 45419". The card has been closed and there is an ongoing investigation on the charge.

Just had a charge on my account $181.40...Nebraska number, Pineland - Recurring Payment, no record of it...

Found a $85.66 charge on my Cabelas card (thru Worlds Foremost Bank) from PP*CONARCHY 402-935-2244 TX. I called WFB right away and was told it was a charge for a 'men and boys clothier' thru paypal. WTF! I don't even have a paypal account! Cabelas is shutting down the card right away (they are awesome). These scammer people are worse than cockroach poopie.

Also have an unknown charge f $85.17 on my VISA through Bank of America listed as PP*CPOUND 402-935-2244 MN. t Called the number and sounds like a paypal number. Closed my Visa and reported it as fraud. Bummer that it is so easy for people to make fradulent charges. I don't use the card for PayPal but did use it the same day to book childcare at a ski resort. Maybe a dishonest employee?

I just found a charge on my VISA for the end of January with the PP*JKLNUEDSQ 402-935-2244 OK for $215. When I called VISA to cancel my card last night they thought it was an insurance company number, but I tried to call the number, and the recording said it was PayPal...

Same issue with me.. Listed as an Orthodontist in Florida. Charge was for $83.00 on my MasterCard. Bank is reversing the transaction but I have to wait for a new card. I am glad I caught it Early. Scum of the earth!

I, too, was caught in this scam. It turns out that the phone number is in fact PayPal's number, but in my case someone created a fake PayPal account that does not link to mine. 5 transactions in 32 days. over $1000. People are disgusting. No one called me from this number; it showed up on the bank statement next to each transaction.
