Caller left voice mail, said his name was Carlos, looking for an insurance agent in my area. I could hear the background sounded like a call center. I am in TX and area code he called from and left for me to call back is 407 which is in FL. I cannot sell him a policy since I am only licensed in TX. It sounds like a ruse just to get me to call back.

"FIRE SAFETY" CAME UP ON CALLER ID ON OUR WORK PHONES. WE GET MANY SALES CALLS SO I'M VERY CAUTIOUS. THEY LEFT A MESSAGE SAYING THEY NEEDED A PLUMBER AND TO CALL BACK. IT JUST DIDN'T SOUND LIKE A LEGITIMATE CALLER SO I GOOGLED IT AND THIS CAME UP. NEEDLESS TO SAY I'M NOT CALLING THEM BACK.

They claim to be working with one of our fire departments. I have gone round and round with these people. Contacted the fire department, they know nothing about it and the person they claim is their contact, does not have the authorization to do so and hasn't of course. They become very rude once all this is pointed out to them. I have told them to take me off their calling list multiple times, yet they continue to call. They are blocked now, but let's see how long it takes them to call from another line.

Received a call from Jay at Fire Safety Company. She said they are running a special for fridge magnets for local fire departments and that my business would go on 15,000 of those magnets for a $750 fee. I told her to call me back so I can look into it but after I hung up with her I did some digging and my local FD doesnt know anything about this and so I am NOT going to invest. Thanks for the heads up everybody!
