I'm pretty sure there's something in some law somewhere that says it's illegal for *any* business to call before 8am or after 9pm even if they figured out some way around that worthless "do not call" list. If I'm right than Arbitron is breaking the law BIG TIME because they seem to like calling me very early in the morning and very late at night. They must think the survey they're peddling (or what ever the heck it is) is something really urgent. And how valid could the results be if they're willing to break the law to get people to respond???? I think I need to see about taking legal action against these idiots.

Artbitron keeps calling from 410-312-8222, 7 days a week, 4 times a day. I want it to stop!

i keep getting these calls, i choose not to do surveys, and if it involves tv, well, grandkids have the xbox on it. have not actually watched tv in years. yes, i could always use a few extra dollars but i do not answer calls from numbers i do not know. thank those whom gave info it related to neilson and is a legit company, but i still prefer to not do surveys.

I'm sorry, I don't care if this Arbitron group is a research group. Don't they get the message after I've hung up on them for 2 weeks in a row I'm not interested in doing their survey? Now they're calling at 7:30AM & just now after 9:30 pm. That's when I let whoever was on the line have it full force. In not so many words I told them never to call me back or I'm contacting the FCC. I checked the FCC site & you do have a legit complaint against telemarketers calling before 8AM & after 9PM so that's the avenue I'm pursuing.

I don't care WHO they are...I don't appreciate getting LATE calls (surveys/telemarketers) AFTER I've gone to bed! This is ridiculous!! What... they can't reach you 'at the dinner hour'...so now they call after 10PM??! Very poor PR.

Received two calls from this # today. the last one @ 8:56 p.m. just under the wire! Am on the DNC list. Caller ID: Arbitron, Inc.Did not answer & no message left. Annoying.

Yes, survery and rating calls are generally exempt from the do not call list laws.HOWEVER, I learned from State of Tennessee do not call people that you are to tell the person calling asking survey questions-->> TELL THE SURVERY CALLER COMPANY TO ADD YOU TO THEIR " INTERNAL" DO NOT CALL LIST.WHICH THEY ARE REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN. ONCE YOU TELL THEM TO ADD YOU TO THEIR INTERNAL DO NOT CALL LIST -- AFTER THAT-- ANY CALLS THEY MAKE TO YOU ARE ILLEGAL.THEY ARE AT THAT POINT VIOLATING THE LAW. The above was told to me by state of Tennessee officials.I'd assume similar provisions are in other state do not call laws; as well as the federal do not call laws.>>> TELL ANY WHO ARE EXEMPT FROM " DO NOT CALL LIST-- CALLERS TO ADD YOU TO THEIR INTERNAL DO NOT CALL LIST."
