Been getting calls from this number for about two months now all hours of the day starting at 5 am and the latest call was at 11 pm. They either don't leave a message or when i answer it's the same women with an Indian accent calling me about different schools each time so i told her I'm not interested I'm already going to school somewhere so she called me for a different reason of i had won 5,000 dollars for paying all my bills on time. I have asked her to stop calling numerous times so no she is on my phones blocked list.
The same thing here. My friend used my number on a college search also.....they will not stop calling. Not sure if it will help but I am calling The BBB in Pa. Worth a try.
I called BBB and was told to call and report to the FTC....it is the highest consumer complaint office to go to. I did call, the gentleman I spoke with took my information and told me to go to their site, FTC.gov and read on 'phishing'. Also not to answer their calls and to call my phone co and report and block this number. And I guess from their they start their investigation of the number. I constantly get calls from this, no one talks and when they do they're trying to sell me porn or try to have inappropriate conversations with me. I recently found out that if you call (888) 382-1222 which is the FTC & you put your number on the "Do Not Call" list they will stop calling within a few days.
I found out if you answer Myers Legal services or something to that effect, they have a tendency to stop.
I followed thru & this info is correct and the best/ simplest way of dealing with this although it takes about a month to be fully effective.
This number is from some online educational stuff. I hung up on them earlier and they just called me back. Tries to call the number and it says it's not a working number!
