It's anonymous. Do you want your boss, who checks the phone records, knowing your medical needs? It is CVS Caremark.
Got a call from these folks. They spoke broken english, Hindu I think. Said they were from CVS Caremark. Called me Mr. Tom. (Thats my first name.) They wanted to know what perscriptions I was taking. That is none of their business! (I haven't used CVS for meds in over 3 years). I asked to speak with the pharmacy manager. He said they were not there. I then asked to speak to the store manager and they hung up on me.These telemarketers are overseas. If they are like other telemarketers from other countries they will screw you somehow. Do not give them any information. Do not press a number to get off their call list. Hang up on them! They may be a bonafied company, but they have no business with my telephone number! You are nuts if you do bussiness with telemarketers that are not in this counrty and they don't speak english and they can't even say your name right. They are just theives!
She said she was calling from CVS. Woman wanted to know my birthday and address. Just checking to see if they had it right. I told her to tell me what she had and I would tell her if she was right. She said she couldn't tell me. I told her, " That's tough" and hung up on her. I don't give information to people who call me.
a coworker of mine showed me this...I work for this co. Its CVS Caremark Specialty Pharmacy. Call the number if you don't believe me. 412-825-8188 - They will answer "SDC, this is [name] how may I help you?" The SDC is b/c customers want to remain anonymous to their coworkers or their friends or family. Your meds are your business. We have reg phone numbers too...just that ALL outgoing calls have the anonymous line attached so you don't have to worry about seeing "pharmacy" on your caller ID. You folks who are flipping out...sometimes even if people have an accent, being nice will get you farther. If you think they shouldn't be calling either (nicely) request another rep, supervisor, etc and ask for the reason for their call...they can say that without giving out personal info. If you think you're being harassed, start with your phone company for advise, block the number from calling you or contact your local authority. Spazzing in some forum that doesn't do anything for you...well...doesn't do anything for you.
I realize you think your company can do no wrong but, They have employees in other countries who are not Americans cold calling people trying to get them to use CVS Caremark. It is a cheap and dirty way of doing Telemarketing. I will not do any personal business with someone from another country. Most of these telemarketers are in their own home using their own computer to conduct this business. Talk about HIPPA violations! That is why they can not put a manager on the phone. As for the accent, I want to talk with someone who speaks fluent english when it comes to things like my Meds! The person who called me could not form a complete sentence in english that made any sense. These out of the country telemarketers work very cheap and Caremark does not care about it's own quality. If they did they would not use this cheap labor.
I work for CVS/Caremark. I have just had to verified that this is: This is a known scam. We do not believe that any information originates at CVS. The callers are typically after credit card info or want the person to purchase a green dot card and communicate the number to them in order to collect sweepstakes winnings…(that we are not running)Anyone can set up a website and proclaim to be anything. We have also heard of this scam involving Walgreens, RiteAid, etc as well
We do not do business with this company, yet they call! We do not get prescriptions from this company, yet they call!Telemarketing is Telemarketing! The FDA does not approve private companies... anyone who uses that line is misinformed, a liar, a cheat, a scam artist... or a telemarketer!I purchased a new phone system (Panasonic) that has caller block and I use it!
This is Caremark/CVS mailorder pharmacy. They're probably calling about a prescription shipment. Their service is excellent
my husband received 3 phone calls from this company. On his cell. I checked with caremark-they are NOT associated with this bogus company. When you call the 412 #-they answer SDC-then they want YOUR info, THEN they will identify why they are calling. When I call Caremark-they answer as a normal upstanding business would be expected to answer. I believe this is a company that somehow got some personal medical info-and are trying to drum up business. Be careful who you talk to-and what you tell them!
