This is a legit number. And yes it is in fact CVS Caremark Pharmacy. I am a patient that gets my medications from them every single month. They call me once a month just to confirm that my address is correct before they ship out my medications.
This is CVS Caremark Specialty Pharmacy. If you are getting calls from them it is because a prescription was sent to them or they need information from you.
This appears to be part of the CVS Specialty Warehouse notification system - part of their pharmacy adviser application. The sudden hang up's could be a bug in the software. It is NOT a telemarketer or scammer. If you have a prescription through CVS or have had one in the past and it is a recurring refill, please contact your CVS and let them know the system is not working correctly and possibly change your notification options.
This is CVS Specialty Pharmacy (for the more expensive or oddball meds). IMO, CVS is AFU. They operate as 3 separate companies with minimal / nil integration. The retail stores are separate. CVS Caremark (normal mail order pharmacy) is separate. Trying to transfer a script with these folks between separate operating entities is maddening. But this is a legitimate call.
Legit call from CVS/Caremark specialty, came up on caller ID as Pennsylvania, left a VM with only the last 4 digits of the phone number, received a 2nd call that left a clear VM with return number 800-238-7828 Opt. 1 it was with regard to an order for a prescription I ordered that went through them.
It is not a scam got a call left message with number to call.I called and it was to let me know that some meds that was not covered through them has to be gotten through a different place.
Called back. It's CVS all right. They give you a LONG menu to listen to, but I instantly got through. It involved my prescription for Humira, which I guess is expensive and complicated and requires a bit more paperwork than a normal prescription handled by CVS. (I have a few of those). Real number.
This has got to be a scam. I never use CVS pharmacies but continue to receive calls from them. When I asked what the call was about I was told they couldn't tell me until I gave them personal information and told them all the prescriptions I was currently taking. Complete BS. I kept telling the woman I would not give personal information over the phone.
