Getting cast on a reality show is easy, and you don't need Comp Cards/Zed Cards, promotional photos, headshots, or any of that [***]. Nearly every reality show being cast asks you for1. A recent photo (not a professional photo, or a retouched photo, or a zed card).2. A brief description of yourself and why you would be a good candidate for the show.3. A home video where you demonstrate your personality and essentially stereotype yourself. Most shows cast either through freelance casting directors or in house casting teams. They will usually post frequent craig's list posts, or use sites like reality wanted or gotcast to gather submissions.Recruiters want you to find their posts and contact them, they want to recieve your videos, it makes their job easier. Look up the show you want to be on at IMDBLook for the casting director's name or company name.Google that person to find their personal or company website.Send them your contact info, your picture, and a link to your video (best to post your video on sites like VIMEO.COM where it can be easily downloaded by a casting editor)Most of the time, casting people are looking for you, so just make yourself easy to find by regularly checking craig's list's gigs-talent section.
The names of the 'casting directors' listed on HNE castings website are fake, they have no credits on IMDB nor do they come up on any company roster for the supposed organizations that employ them. I work in the reality casting field, I've been casting reality shows for 4 years. I have never heard of HNE castings, recieved a submission from HNE castings, and I've never put a person on a show, or even scheduled an interview for anyone who has ever used HNE castings. If you want to be on a reality show, find the casting director who is actually responsible for casting that show and contact them.
i had applied for a reality tv show and i got a call from a guy named Greg Sobolewski from H.N.E Castings. the guy talked so fast i couldnt get a word in. then he told me that i was perfect looking for what they wanted and to send him 4-6 photos of my face and body so i did and then he said after i emailed him the pictures to call him back so we could discuss everything well thats when he hit me with the whole card thing for marketing and that they charge a small fee of $288.75 ha ha thats not a small charge. well at first i was going to do it then i forwarded everything to my mom and her first response was that is a scam. i got upset of course because i wanted to be on reality tv for my daughter. anyways when i talked to him again he got really pushy and tried to make me feel bad and convince me to pay the money right away. i said you just called me today and you want the money within 24hrs thats not alot of time. then he ranted on about its an investment and all this b.s. im sorry but dont fall for this guy. i got a REAL call from a reality show today and they never once asked me for money just to send in an audition video online which would cost me nothing and when i told the nice guy about that other agency he said that reality tv shows never ask you for money and he laughed when i told him about the cards and then he told me to look them up online and what do u know they are a FRAUD agency. so dont be duped into some of these things please becarful and dont get taken for. I hope i helped! thanks!
Hey Cara Brown,I am sure that in your mind that is what happened. Unfortunately that is far from the truth. I gave you the option, like every other client to print your own cards. You did nothing but lie to me and waste my time. You are not even a client of HNE, but a delusional woman. All of my clients are happy and on TV shows. Keep trying to ruin other people chances of being on a TV show. Anyone who has been in any industry knows that you have to invest in yourself. To ask someone to provide their own cards, or use my printers is nothing new. ThanksGreg Sobolewski
