I don't know why people think that you will work with them if they just harass you with calls for long periods of time. like, I am really going to give you any info or purchase services from you when I hang up on you and ask you not to call multiple times. just stupid. I don't know how anyone can work for these annoying companies.

I have been getting these "calling for AT&T" scam calls for months now, from multiple numbers (I now have anonymous numbers blocked). I finally called AT&T and spoke with their customer service people to ask them to not have third party vendors call me. The AT&T representative said that they do not have authorized third party vendors for this type of thing, and that most likely they are attempts to scam me into a switch to a service other than AT&T. The AT&T rep also said that they can put a hold on my account, so that no third party vendor can switch me, and only I can do that using my AT&T pin number, which only I know. Once I put it in their system, not even AT&T personnel can access my pin. I put the hold on my account, so now even if the scammers try, no one but me can switch me to another phone service. I recommend anyone who wants to prevent unauthorized switches to another phone service call AT&T and set up the same thing I did.

Robo call. Call block...

They called again this morning. This time someone named "Gage" introduced himself and said it was "critical" that he speak to the person in charge of the AT&T account (which is me). Just at that moment my husband called and so I asked Gage if I could put him on hold. He said sure. When I finished the call with my husband, Gage had hung up.

They called again today. This time she said her name was Ashley and asked if I was the person in charge of the AT&T account. I told her I was and that we would be dropping AT&T soon (which is true) and then I said "Thanks for calling" and hung up.
