Not answering kept calling

Just received this call 425-668-9652. Do not recognize it and did not answered. Did a quick search on this site and I see that it is on the list.

Man with foreign accent claiming to need information to send me a check that was a federal grant. Supposedly had something to do with paying my taxes on time. Wanted me to spell my first and last name for him. When I said he should have that information and should tell me how he saw my name spelled, he asked me if I wanted the grant or not. I said no and hung up.

Same today here....we are tired. How easy is harassing to people every day...

It's and Indian company that has apparently been spoofing numbers like this for years. Our telecom security people advised not to answer at all. If you do pick up by mistake just hang up without saying anything more. The police have been involved but have received little cooperation from authorities in India. The phone company said call blocking doesn't work for long as they use a variety of different numbers. sigh.

They called my house 8 times today and when I asked politely no to call me again they became rude and said unwelcomed things

he started with....i know there is a threat to your computer (you dont say?) and i need access to your computer remotely (to steal your identity since you did not buy anything from target) and i can fix your computer. He said he got a message (on a gold plate?) from microsoft, and that I am at risk that he will make sure there is no virus on my computer...when i asked him what kind of a computer he said windows...i said what brand and then asked : are you a [***] idiot? He yelled at me...so i gave the phone to a 4 year old and told her it was santa claus...he hung up.

Filthy red-dot Indian trying to tell me 'getting errors from my computer for quite a long time' in thick accent then when I told her I was an experienced computer tech since 1998 with college degree and certification in the field of computers, and her stupid scam was NOT going to work on me, I got cussed like a drunken sailor! F you, c*S'r and everything, then got hung up on!

I received a call this afternoon. Woman with an accent. I had difficulty understanding her, so she turned the hone over to a man with an accent. He mentioned Microsoft and Windows. They had noticed I had a problem with my software. I am afraid I gave them too much information. I gave them access to my computer. They discovered I had many "errors" and "problems". They also noticed that the protection for my computer had expired. Finally when I saw that the cost for lifetime protection would be $199. I said I was not interested in any further protection and hung up. I just hope it was not too late.
