Received a call saying they received problems with my computer. It hasn't been on in weeks. Hung up.
It amazes me that anyone with caller ID would even answer these anonymous phone calls...it is so obviously a scam, otherwise they would identify themselves. Our only defense against these people is to ignore them, block the number, and report them to the authorities. Aggravating, I know.

I've gotten multiple phone calls from this number over the last few months, though in my case, I hear several seconds of silence before an automated voice says "goodbye". I really hope someone nails this jerk, I'm tired of pointlessly losing minutes on my cell to this [***]!
My parents keep getting this phone call. They do not even own a computer and I have Mac's I will fallow alaw suit if needed. O yes I am an attorney. The call is coming out of Lynwood Washington. The called hasbeen traced. Do not give any information regarding your computers or what operating system you are using. Just tell this dirtbag you do not own a computer.
Got this call this morning and let them go through the whole thing.....I have a crazy computer set up so I let them log in and gave them a virus that I have installed that will download as soon as an unauthorized computer logs into it. I told the woman on the phone that she needs to send me $1,000 for the virus to be removed. :0

Called three times and left no message. The third time the name that came up on my phone was Authors Club president. I answered and the caller then said they were collecting on a debt, claimed they were recording the call. Scam.
