Jeananne,From what I've learned IA was spawned from USU's Innovation Campus, and is housed on Campus. You're president is somewhat conflicted in that he also holds an adjunct teaching position with Huntsman Business School's Marketing Department. The issue is simple are you adhering to FCC "donotcall" guidelines? You're making the calls, not your "clients." IA's website,s links to it's "codes" and "ethics" pages are now defunct. It seems as though your practices have gone out the window of late. Is Angie Olsen training you to adhere to federal calling restraints and is Mark cross-matching client's recommended call list with the FCC database? Think we need to press USU's powers-to-be to see whether they're letting their spin-offs off the lease of Federal regulations while collecting Federal ARRA grants with the other hand!
This # has been calling me different every day, multiple times a day during different hours. Never leaves a message. Annoying!
If it is a scam, it's being run from somewhere outside the country where the do-not-call crap is invalid. The number is spoofed to look like it came from the U.S. I heard there was a scam where people would call from foreign countries to see if you would call back, then it hits you with long distance charges and then another 9.99 per minute you spend screaming at the person. Best bet is to ignore it, block the number, and quit going on about "I thought there was a list for that" Welcome to the new age of technology folks. Educate yourselves a little.
have been getting calls from this number all week. They refuse to talk to me, want to talk to Hubby, but refuse to leave a message. After reading other comments it makes me wonder if it's about the repairs being done to my car after a minor accident. Stupid thing is, it's my car so they'd have to talk to me anyway. I hate these types of calls.
Guy called my cell asking for my wife by name. I told him he had the wrong number. He hung-up without saying why he called.
They called today on my cell. Totally unsolicited. I told the man no such person as they asked for existed (which is true) and told him to take my cell number out of his registry. He said he couldnt do that unless he explained the purpose of his call. i asked to speak with his manager. He said he had to explain the purpose of his call first. Then I said I would block this number from my cell and he said, "Good luck with that!" That's a violation of my "Do Not Call" stipulation. These guys should be prosecuted.
Caller a friendly young woman who said her firm was hired by the University of Maryland to do small business research. I asked how I became a prospect for the survey; she was unable to tell me—said she just had my number among many others to call. I spent ten minutes on the phone with her answering general questions about our business, industry, use of social media and marketing, etc. It sounded like a legitimate research project. I did not divulge any information that could not be readily obtained from other sources, for the most part.Did get the recording other folks here have mentioned when calling the number back.
