GOT A CALL FROM THIS PHONE REGARDING "COLLECTION" - FOR WHAT?????DELETED MESSAGE, BLOCKED PHONE

Called and i did not answer when i tried to return the call its busy then i try again it rings and says the cellular south customer is not accepting your call did anyone try to call it back

got a call on my cell from this number. Looking for David Burstrum (sp). the guy stated my number was listed as a personal reference for this person. He asked how long I had the number and then had my wait while his computer "updated"

Got call from this number but did not answer and caller didn't leave a message. Can't find a listing for this area code. Is it even in the US? Anybody doing anything about this?

This number is a Dept of Ed STUDENT Loan in default collection agency. If you owe on a student loan, they will hunt you down till you drop dead. The area code is made up, and does not belong to any US state area code. It was specially alloted to the collections dept of the DOE to find people who have defaulted on student loans.

someone is selling the phone numbers of students w/loans to these people even though the loans are not in collections. My small student loan isn't even up for payment for another 3 years. I've confirmed this with the department of Education, This company is a scam. I suggest you confirm you owe nothing with the dept of education. Tell them so, contact the dept of ed w/this company's number and complain. I'd hate to think the Dept of Ed. is selling off info. I think it probably is more likely that they get their list from ppl like "fastweb" etc. If they are a legitimate collection agency, they need to get their ^*#@ together. I'm thinking they are a predatory scam. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION. IF they DON'T ALREADY HAVE YOUR NAME, DON'T GIVE IT TO THEM. If they start asking you for information, rebut with the question of What information they have already, and who they got it from. Sneaky [***].

DO CALL them back and HARASS them just as often until they stop calling you. Simply tell them to remove your number from their list. The callback number they leave is 8668087175. However, they always call AFTER their office is closed, and you will generally get a recording. GL getting a real person. If you do, and you have no loans defaulted w/the Dept of Ed. treat them like telemarketers. IF you do have default loans w/the dept of ed. Call them to find out if this agency legitimately has your debt for collection.

This is the current number being used by an agent of Premier Collections. They used to use a fake 311 area code.
