If they don't leave a message I will never answer the phone, If they do leave a message I will not answer the phone.I will not donate any money and I will not talk to them.If I am in a good or bad mood I will give them bad addresses and any thing else to run them around circles and as complicated as my imagination will let me.
i didn't answer because the election was a week ago. i was tired of the political calls long before the election now some dumbass wants more political bs.
Called and asked one question, if I voted in last election. Said they could not leave messages until they had my permission to call my number. Never asked for money or who I voted for, very polite.
Think about it. What could anyone possibly do with a recording of you saying "YES"? That is, what could they do with such a recording that they couldn't do simply by saying "YES" themselves or getting any English-speaking person in the world to say "YES" for them? Do you have some ultra-sophisticated online finance system that responds to your voiceprint and requires YOU saying the word "YES" to access it? Of course not. So what's the point? The only thing I can think of is nefarious political organizations who might use tens of thousands of recordings of different people saying "YES" to pretend they had conducted some phone survey on some politically-charged question, and all these tens of thousands of people responded "YES" to whatever it is they're proposing. Still, that seems like a mighty flimsy reason to do this.
Non Partisan Electorate Action Comity, wanting you to perform once a month surveys and give a donation. the website is www.votethewill.org which says... "Welcome to votethewill.org! We are glad you are here! votethewill.org is the online portal for Informed Electorate, a Political Action Committee funded by individuals around the country who want their voice to be heard - and NOT by corporations or Super PAC's or special interests. " Just another unwanted phone call to try and get money by pretending they voice your opinion. Yeah, that's not gonna happen.Maybe if they paid me at least $50.00 per call of 3 minutes or less, I would pretend to listen.Another number they use... 888-737-4838Location... Informed Electorate PAC PO Box 30040 Salt Lake City, UT 84130-0040
Got this call and many,& many more, especially around dinner time. I'm at the point that I don't answer the phone unless I recognize the phone number or the phone id's the call. If they leave a message, I will call them back.
So they have me saying yes. But without my CC# or bank account #, what can they do with it? Also recording without your permission is against the law so by their using it, they are doing so illegally.I need more details as to how this scheme works.
Sophisticated robo-caller for a group calling themselves "Informed Electorate PAC". Initially it was fairly convincing until you ask something and then there is a pause and another automated response. The robot does not provide any real information about who they are or what they really represent. They have a simple website that they refer you to that does not provide any more information than the robo-call. I received three phone calls from them. The first two calls asked one very basic political question and the third tried to solicit a $20 donation. It smells like a SCAM. I recommend no one give them money!
