SO.. I keep getting calls from Macy's from this number even though I have sent them a Cist and decease letter! They are breaking the law by caling my phone yet they won't stop-Thier credit Dept is terrible!

Just got a call on my cell. If this number is to Macy's as above posters have said, I can't see why they'd call me. I have NO dealings with Macy's. No credit cards, don't shop there, anything. I suspect it's a scam. Have had 2 other calls today from 2 other random numbers that I have no dealings with. Did not answer any of them. Seems like someones up to something.Weird!

had a call form 1480 929 3000 kim she claim someone tried to purchase $1200 in food at a restaurant in texas. she wanted my card # my id # on the back of my card my mothers maiden name , dob etc. i told her if she is really from macys she should have all of that info etc.

Got a call from this number, doubt it was macy's even though i have there credit card. My balance is zero.

pretty legit to me. VM from a ladies at Bloomingdales trying to confirm my address to send updated card (got mail about this as well). Just my experience. Thanks!

I just received a call from this number. The caller identified herself by first name and that she was with Macy's. She asked to speak to my wife by name. I had the person repeat their name and who they were with. I asked her what she wanted. She said she wanted to verify some information and to tell her she called. I asked what type of information she wanted to verify and she hung up. After checked the number online, I called back the number to speak to someone, which I did. If fact the call was legitimate and an example of the system working. My wife was shopping with my son and did apply for a Macy's card (to get 25% off). However, we had put a fraud alert on our credit reports because we had a major credit card number stolen about 6 weeks before. Because of the fraud alert, Macy's called the number on the fraud alert, my number, but had to speak to my wife at that number because it was the number listed on the fraud alert. I was surprised the caller hung up on me, but now understand why and am happy to report the system actually worked properly.
