Call from Promark her name Tina, be careful with this lady.

Got call from Tina and days later another from Jan...did not pass message on after reading about other calls from the same two people.

Lady name Jan called our accounting office in Rochester NY. She left a message with the the front desk saying that she was an independant contractor and that she represented Promark. They find buyers and sellers. She said that someone wants to buy our firm or merge with us. I did not return her call,

Same information as already reported. Jan Richards called my office today and told my assistant that she had a CPA Firm interested in buying my Firm OR Merging with us. 502-693-6730I immediately Googled the name and this site came up.

Got a call today from 'Jay Furnace" at 502-693-6730, asked to speak to the business owner (asked by name) claiming a "Confidential Matter" but refused to elaborate. Spam, pure and simple.

Its interesting that I don't see anywhere that this company stole money from anyone. All of the negativity and just from a phone call...

We got a call yesterday from Jan Richards - I don't know what number she called from, but the call back number she gave me was 502-741-4683. She said she had a firm near us that wanted to sell. I got suspicious because the person she asked to talk to about this purchase was not the owner of our firm. She was surprised when I told her that and then she asked who the owner was AND the name of the firm. She didn't know who she was calling.

Received a phone call from Jan Richards stating she had a seller in a neighboring zip code and asked if the owner would be interested in purchasing a CPA firm. Called back the number she left and got the voicemail of someone asking for our information and a fax number to send information. Slightly suspicious so I googled the info and found all of this. Thanks for the heads up everyone!

The guy doesn't even have e-mail and the few times I've called or faxed him he doesn't respond. He wants a finders fee from both buyer & seller and I've told him that I don't buy that way. I've bought 2 practices in the last 5 years and all fees were paid by seller.The puzzling part is I have no idea how he got my fax number. Plus his faxes are the tackist thing I've seen since they using fax machines. I'd stay away from this guy.
