Hello,I just received a call on my cell phone regarding my credit card. I do not give my cell number to anyone and I would like to know how this company got it.Thank you for your time,Katt
I keep getting calls from this number. When I ask to be removed from the list, they hang up on me.
Folks,These days, most of these calls come from overseas call centers. They are paid by the number of connected calls they make, so simply by answering the phone you have helped them out even if you swear at them or hang up. They have NO motivation not to call you back if it means another connected call for their billing.The Do Not Call Registry was a fine idea, but it only stops registered US companies. Overseas call centers can commandeer US numbers easily enough and harass you without any worries over legal ramifications.The only answers are to get laws changed to somehow enforce privacy or get cell phone companies to provide better protection. That means call your congressperson and complain and call your cell phone carrier and complain. This site is a good service, but only complaining or posting here will do create the change we all want.
They get it from your bank, the post office, anywhere you do business that you leave your phone #. They can legally *sell* your information once you give it to them. Check into it -- it is legal. We need the government to change this so they can't do this to us.
I just called that # back and it said to enter my phone # to be on the do not call list. I just went on line Friday 11/11 to be placed on the do not call list. Did anyone else get this?

This number keeps calling me to try to "reduce my credit card interest rates". When I asked them to remove from their call list they used profanity and sauid they don't care I am on a do not call list and then hung up.
