I received an unsolicited call from this number (503-468-5002). It purported to offer a lower interest rate on my credit card, but the automated message identified neither the company that was calling nor the credit card of mine that was allegedly under discussion. Clearly a scam/spoof/phishing scheme. I suggested that if you receive such a call, simply hang up. Optionally, you could report it here, so that anyone else would be able to research the Internet and see the history of these calls.
this company number called my cell on 11/8/11, but left no message. When I called back an automated message played back
I received a call from this number on my cell phone. I pressed "1" to find out which credit card referred my information to this organization called Card Member Services. They were reluctant to give specifics only that Visa, MC and Discover have affiliation with them. They would not tell me which company gave them my information and hung up when I pressed them for the specifics. (I only have one card and it is doubtful that they did so but I will continue to check. Be advised not to give them anything!
Recorded message -- "Ann" from Account Services, regarding lowering credit card interest rates. I did not press 1 to speak with a representative...
Recieved a call from 503-468-5002 this morning at 1100 hrs. No voice, nothing...then disconnect. This type of harassment should be illegal.
