I just read your identical post on another site for "Southern Journeys" scams. Might you be employed by them? I'm guessing - even if you do say you are not.

Count me among those who receive the continual calls from 504-620-1232. Unfortunatley, I was at the mall with my son and there was a car giveaway for which he wanted to enter. I read the small sign up paper and saw NOTHING about allowing my number to be called by solicitors so I filled out the little entry and dropped it in a box. I'm usually too leery of such giveaways because invariably I am called to join a health club, visit Disney World, take a cruise, join a buying club, or buy a time share. That is why I look for the sponsor (if it is a car giveaway and it is anything other than a dealership giving away the car, I don't enter) or any red flag that would be a clue they are going to sell my information. I saw nothing this time. Since I live in Tulsa, I'll be calling the main office and giving them a huge piece of my mind. I'll also be notifying the mall to tell them they should enforce a rule that all details of entering a contest should be posted very prominently. Unless I sign or specify I wish to be contacted by anyone other than the sponsoring corporation, they should not be allowed to give away or sell that informtion. Thanks for the contact information!!! After reading through 5 pages of posts, apparently there are a LOT of vehicle giveaways. There is a Charger to be given away, a Cadillac, $50,000, Callaway Clubs, I entered for a sports car but I don't remember what it was (it was not a Charger), and other various giveaways. I do not remember the DATE of the drawing nor do I recall there being an address to which I could write to receive the names of those who win/won. I'd be interested in knowing if all the DIFFERENT vehicles, cash, and golf clubs are actually given away and also if it was in a timely fashion. One poster states that they do business under different names which leads me to question if they just 'dissolve' the business before the giveaway and reopen under a different name. If they DO give away all that they purport will be given away, I'd like to know the names of the winners and the dates, etc. If they have not given away the vehicles, cash, golf clubs, etc., then it's time we helped bring down this tyrant of torment!Signed, Mad As Hell And Not Going To Take It Anymore!!

This number calls my cell phone at least once a week. When I answer, I can hear talking in the background, and then I'm hung up on. I have tried calling the number back and either get a busy signal or a fax machine sound. Very annoying! I have no idea where they got my number!

I received a call with from a Nicole with Southern Journeys of Oklahoma stating that I had won an all expense paid trip promising that I had made it to the top ten of a harley-davidson motorcycle drawing @ Penn Square Mall, OKC, OK. I knew it was too good to be true. I'm not sure if I should pursue Penn Square Mall for allowing such a scam to take place or not on their premises, but I am in the process of pursuing something.

I just scheduled an appointment with them bc my husband and i want to go tolas vegas for free. As long as we stand firm with NO then we should get our promised trip right? "Is it worth it? What kind of hotels do they put you up in?

My husband and I filled out an entry for a harley at penn square mall, Oklahoma city...I received a call on my cell saying I had won a trip of my choice to Orlando, Reno, or Las Vegas. I would have one year to take my trip. The trip was for both my husband and myself. We would have to go to Southern Journeys at 6100 N Robinson, Oklahoma City and make all arraignments. A five star hotel, and air fair would be completely paid in full for us. We would be responsible for our own spending money. At this meeting they would give us ten more entries to fill out to win the harley, (it had not yet been given away, I asked), and they asked if we purchaced lottery tickets, I said never. She said that they would also give us "300" power ball tickets at the meeting, The lady told me her name was Renice Lear and if I had any more questions I could call her between 9:00am and 1:00pm, at 1-888-991-9949..She did tell me that she was with the Travel Network....also....... at the OKC Home and garden show there was a drawing for a Truck, you spin a prize wheel and it would land on Orlando, Reno, or Vegas. This time we were told to pay twenty dollars right then, and it would be reimbursed to us at the "meeting" with a 20.00 dollar gas card. And, that they were absolutely NOT going to try to sell us anything. That this was not a time share...we had diffently won the trip. All they would do would add any additional arraignments that we would want to add to our trip.

Home Depot and their front load washer dryer give away is not only a scam to sell water softening systems but they apparently gave our cell number and address to these same time share / travel deal folks. DO NOT enter anything Home Depot is having a give away for. Michael - Norman, Oklahoma
