I have read all of the post on this website and a few others and I still have a few questions. First of all I want to say that when I filled out the form to sign up for the free vehicle I did read the back of the form so when I got the phone call I was ok with it because I knew what I had signed up for, I work for a credit card company so I am used to all of the fine print and I get that. When I got a phone call about the presentation I was advised of the free gifts and it was explained to me that everything was covered for the cruise except alcohol and any on board activites and stuff like that. I was also told that I would have to pay taxes on the gifts which I am also ok with. However I see several people saying that they tried to book their cruise and was not able to or that there were additional fees and other charges applied. So I have 2 questions..... 1. Is the $100 fee that I was told in the e-mail that I got a fee per person to book or for both people? 2. I know that you said as long as you follow the directions that are on the back of the information that you get than you will be able to get your free trip but could you please explain a little bit of how exactly that works and maybe explain some things that most people usually misunderstand?I appreciate you taking the time to respond on behalf of your employer and I would like to give your company a fair chance eventhough there are a ton of bad reviews if I just had that additional information. Thank You
Ok, the gift is purchased through a company called Spirit Incentives. They are actually the ones that book your trip and who you go through when using your gift. The 100$ fee is for both people. As for question two...whew!! Ok so you have to register the gift within 60 days, that is a big step, most people do not register the gift and lose the cruise! You pick 3 weeks that you are able to travel and then you are informed of what the cruise line has available. You will be offered upgrades and such but I am not so sure of all of the details on the gift because it is purchased by us and is in NO WAY affiliated with the vacation plans that we sell
My wife signed up to win one of those fancy new three wheelers at this years GrapeFest in Grapevine TX, (Sept 2008). I couldn't tell you the company name or anything about them but I do remember her signing up. Gee I hope we at least won it for as many times as they call.
Tulsa State fair. Signed up for a free giveaway. They call, I answered, and heard the employees chatting among themselves regarding who they called. When I called the number back, I reached a fax. The phone nust also be their fax line.
I have one more question for you! Sorry, you are just so helpful! do you know if the certificates you provide for the cruise has a website on them that you can go to inorder to validate your registration coupon or can you only send them in regular mail?
We "won a trip" from Southern Journey when we attended the state fair of Texas in Oct 08. We went to their high pressure sales meeting. They said it would take 60 min but it lasted about 2 hours. Two people come in the room to tell us their rehersed scripts then we were passed off to an individual sales person then passed along to the person that takes your money (we weren't dumb enough to give it to them). They gave us a certificate for a free trip. Airfare and 2 night hotel stay in Fl. It requires a $50.00 processing fee. I just got the certificate yesterday so I haven't done anything wiith it yet.Southern Journey sells hotel rooms and it is very expensive. It's $10,000 for 20 trips (hotel only/their selection) + $339 per year until all 20 trips are used + 99 processing fee each time you go on a trip. Those are the fees they tell you about up front - you know there will be hidden cost. I can get a much better deal from priceline or just doing some research on google. If you can go on a trip -short notice- you can get a very good deal at a hotel if they have vacant rooms. We also use the 50% off coupons in the entertainment book (passbook) which is sold in every major city in the US - we pay $12 for the Dallas book.Bottom line - Southern Journeys is geared towards the same type of people that believe what the read in rag magazines and if you send lots of money to a TV preacher they will heal you.
Just to clairify I found a place on their website that you can do that but it said not every certificate could be validated there, only ones that specifically say so on the form, others must be mailed in.
