we signed up at the Texas Motor Speedway for a giveaway vacation. I specifically told them if it is a time share to FORGET IT. i guess i should know by now that companies only lie to stay in business and we the public get ripped off every time.
I TOO RECIEVED CALLS FROM SOUTHERN JOURNEYS. WHEN THEY CONTACTED ME I WAS A LITTLE SKEPTICAL BUT I DECIDED TO TAKE A CHANCE. I WAS PLEASEANTLY SURPRISED! THE PRESENTATION WAS VERY INFORMATIVE, THE STAFF WAS HELPFUL, AND I RECIEVED ALL MY GIFTS AS PROMISED. THIS REALLY IS NOT A BAD DEAL FOR JUST A LITTLE OF YOUR TIME. I PUT MY CELL NUMBER DOWN WHEN I SIGNED UP AT THE SHOW. THAT IS THE NUMBER THEY CALLED ME ON. THE REASON THEY HAVE YOUR CELL NUMBER IS BECAUSE YOU PUT IT DOWN! JUST SOME FOOD FOR THOUGHT :).
got a call from SJ Reis 504-620-1232. said I was 1 of 200 finalists to win a motorcycle drawing I signed up for at state fair of Texas. They said if my husband and i attend a presentation at Southern Journeys in Richardson we won airfare for 2 or free motel stays for 3 days 2 nights. Also, by attending, I would get 3oo FREE PowerBall numbers tickets and 10 more entries for the Bike drawing. We would have to pay $50.each, deposit on the airfare or $50.00 refundable deposit on motel stay. The guy calling me said his name was Robert Huffman and gave me a different phone number if I wanted to call him back (888-991-9949).He is supposed to call me back tomorrow. When I called the number they answered "Marketing". I hung up.Thank you for this website! found it by trying to get info on the company.
Receive another call today about possible chances to win a free 2 night stay vacation when I had already gotten a phone call. Not interested!!!!
Going tuesday for presentation. Hubbie and I could use a nearly free vacation. In the past, I've traveled (pre-kids) worked for an airline, worked on a cruise ship and also worked in a beach front resort-none of which is associated with this 'agency' and now I'm a paralegal at a Bankrupty Law Firm (fyi-we see these types of travel claims in the BK world too). Some of you in these pages must either be retards or just plain angry. I understand the frustrated ones who receive repeated calls. Somehow our phone number use to be a major furntiure chain and we get calls all day long that are not ours-solution, we don't answer it. Like it or not, you either asked for them to call you by signing up for a giveaway or you have a disgruntled ex, a child or a complete stranger has used your phone number for fun. Also is it really that necessary to get angry with the employees that call you from within the US? They're just doing their job-like it or not. I have relatives who are welfare reciepents and totally capable of working and don't. Instead they sit on their hineys and [***] all day long. Now the calls from other countries, I'm not so supportive of...what's our unemployment rate again? Ah, I'll save that for another blog. Personally, for the angry bloggers above, I recommend Zoloft 50mg and a great Cab (wine)..it helps with my issues......Basically, I figure I just spent more time reading these blogs than I will spend listening to a sales pitch, saying no, reading and obeying some rules. A little inconvenience for a reward - nothing is FREE. If we actually go through with the whole process (anyone with children can attest to the unpredictable life you lead) I'll let you know.
SJO called and offered me a free trip but my husband and I had to meet with them and already needed to have our trip picked out so that we could moved quickly through the meeting.n I filled out for a cadillac escalade at the Woodland hills mall in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I was promised 300 powerball numbers, and a $20 gas card.
We were dupped by these people with the promise of free trips and low cost travel expenses. they continue to debit our account, yet provide us with no services whatsoever. not even the free trip. how can i put a stop to this. and why won't the Better Business Bureau intervene. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT CON ARTIST AND THIEVES!!!!
I recently signed up for a drawing for a Harley motorcycle at Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City. I'm glad I started doing a search on this company before I go sit for their 1 hour (0r 2 as someone else mentioned)meeting.
My husband and I attended a presentation last night. We didn't purchase anything and haven't yet tried to redeem our gift. I have to say, my husband saw some others who appeared to be undergoing some pressure, but I felt it was very low pressure, overall. I don't believe it's any type of scam. I knew I signed up for it when I entered a drawing at an expo. My husband was the one who got "looped in" but was a good sport about it. I'm looking forward to getting out trip set up, even though I know I will pay some fraction of the cost and it will require a little bit of patience to get through the process. I traded my time for a trip because I need a vacation and want to save a few bucks getting there. In the end, what they were offering didn't suit us, but I don't think it's a bad deal for those who did buy in... except for anyone who actually *financed* the package. You will get out of there in good shape if you only buy what you can afford to pay for.
