My husband and I ARE going to an "appointment" Sat Jan 24th 2:30pm at 6100 N Robinson. We will report back to anyone interested what takes place......We recieved a call this evening from 214-484-7576 to "confirm" our appt tomorrow....the other Numbers we have are 504-620-1232 and 1-888-991-9949(this was the # to Renice Lear at Travel Network, I could call her weekdays from 9:00-1:oopm). ASH, we'll know tomorrow what you're all about!!!
I talked to the sales rep on Friday, and right know they are 500 a week at 24 weeks is 12000! I Per chased mine at 333 a week! As far as all the complaints all I seen in this site is the phone calls to get you to come to the presentation! Iknow they have been in business snice the 80's and have over 85,000 clients! The number form Louisiana is somebody scamming! Thank you!
My husband also signed up for a pick-up truck at the Oklahoma Home and Garden Show in Oklahoma City and is getting calls on his cell-phone from this number.
Also BIGA, I just started to try and sell this, as I said, this site isn't were I thought it would happen! I'm Caliing them back Monday to get more advice and help! I have a site in vactionownership.com! And as far as any money I have lost is my business. I think you should change your user name to DUMA! Thank you!
My husband and I went to meeting today. They asked my husband for his ID and credit card, He showed them, they kept it only seconds and handed them back. (surprised me). Then they gave us a "survey" which asked, basically, what the entry form asked, except it asked where our dream vacation would be and a few questions like that one. There was a lobby full of couples. (twenty or so). We were all taken together into a larger room with a blackboard. the speaker (Adam, from Tulsa) presented the first part of the presentation...and a second man (Jason) presented the second, or final part. We then broke up into couples to separate representatives who would talk to you. Then we went on to a third man who was to give us our "gifts". He did try to offer you a deal one more time. But, a MUCH cheaper deal. Our experience was not "in your face" when we told them it was not for us that was that. We've been through worse trying to purchase a car...RENEE (above) is basically right, except the 339.00, due in July, once a year is for taxes, and they will break it down into your monthly payment. We turned down their offer and each time the price went down. The Third man we talked to offered us a pretty good offer...995.00 for our trips (which is ONLY accomadations-REALLY nice hotel rooms), they break it down into payments (10%) for 48 - 86 months. If you wait until the third guy he offers to waive the 339.00 yearly (Due in July) Tax payment and makes it a lot more reasonable.....The third man gives you your "prize" (and tries one more time to sell you). They purchase the 300 powerball tickets monthly. They give you a paper with all the numbers on it and tell you that these same numbers are for EVERYONE who come's to there meeting. You are to call a 1-888 # at the end of the month to see if any of the #'s are winners...if they are, they are split between ALL of the people who have attended meetings. The Twenty dollar gas card is from Shell or Wal-mart. You are given a paper to mail in and they send you the card you choose. After we turned down there offers we were given a folder with a sheet telling you how to get you vacation. That's where we are. We have to mail in or apply on-line to start, this has to be done in 45 days. I will follow-up when I get response from mailing this form. CYD By the way, No mention of a winner of the Harley, Truck or any thing else.....I'd like to know if there will ever be a winner......
Chotsie,I received the same call tonight that you had from Southern Journeys. He said I was one of the 200 finalists to win a motorcycle from a drawingat the Fort Worth Stock Show. We would need to attend the 1-hour presentation at their office in Richardson. After a lengthy conversation, he also told me he would have to call me back "tomorrow night."Question: Did he, in fact, call you back the next night? If this call if legitimate, I would take them up on their offer. Thanks in advance for your advise.
I went to the thing yesterday. I did not buy anything. I did listen and pay attention and I ran the numbers.Hypothetical situation:If I decide to take 3 weeks of travel per year over the next 6 years it works out like this. What your buying:Current Standard Package - 30 fully willable and transferable one week hotel stays in a lodge, villa, or suite for 11kOver the next 6 years I will pay.One time Membership fee - $150Down Payment - $900Monthly payment - $180Yearly Tax Fees $339Commission for each one week booking $100Peak season surcharge - $30 per nightIf I assume every night of every 7 night, 8 day vacation is in peak season and I stay within the 1 to 4 people limit my total cost for 210 (30 vacation package) nights in a lodge, villa, or suit is $23,148 over the 6 years.I will pay total over 6 years:membership 150down payment 900remainder 10800 (60 pmt of $180)yearly taxes 2034commissions 3000peak fees 6300total 23184Thats $110 per night... I was planning on paying that much anyway. I don't plan on staying in $400 a night rooms to often. Most decent rooms when I travel are $230 a night on average so yes this is legit and it is a great deal! What if I wanted to stay in a villa in Hawaii? That's like $400 a night! My villa in Mission Bay outside San Diego was $240 a night for two people. If you travel a lot in the next few years or want to give them away or whatever, this is right for you. Retirees, rich people, this is perfect. For me? Not so much. This is just for the hotel rooms. Food , flights, and all that jaz is extra of course. It puts more money in your pocket to spend on vacation. It's like a pay as you go thing so you have more cash for the vacation.Someone please correct me if my math is fuzzy. The yearly tax fee is likely to increase over time. Maybe 4%? I didn't get the details on that.
