Selling an item on Craigslist, got a text from this number. Looks like several others have as well. I blocked it on my phone as I'm 4 states away.

This is in regards to the check written OVER the purchase price, then asking us to give the Auto Transporters the money, to move the vehicle. I commented earlier, the address on their parcel gave a Columbia (South American) return address, yet they labeled it as an American-based company. After receiving more info, from the one who posted the vehicle on Craig's list, it was posted ONLY for the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene area. The scammer would NOT talk over the phone, which means we probably would recognize his voice, and since they are local - eastern Washington/ Idaho, it just so happens, this person has a friend, who lives in California, who buys the same type of cars ... hmmmmm

SCAMMER, may be from another country...did some diggin' Sent us check for more money than purchase price (that was first stupid giveaway) Used an address on parcel, close to a real address of a business, but not real. Check was real, account was real, but not from buyer. Said there was enough money in the acct, and to just deposit it. We played with him...it was fun. Would never talk on the phone, only text...another stupid giveaway... Bank that's on the check said is sounded like fraud as well.,, Bank on check stated they are from Vancouver, business is from another name in Colorado, UPS delivery is from Harrington, DE, Phone number is from California...and last but not least, with more digging, found it related to an email ending in .co (Columbia)...if that's even real as well. Just do your homework, it's actually fun!

received a text regarding a Craigslist ad.... in Florida.

I also got a text from this number in response to my Craigslist posting. Along with many others for the same posting.

craigslist scammer - I have received a text to my phone number listed on CL (selling a truck) The first part of the text said: "is it still up for sale" the, second part had my ad title pasted. I am sure it is a scammer.

If I answer the call, I get a live person if not I receive a pre-recorded voicemail message from the company.
