They've called several times. I requested 3 times that they stop calling me. I got another call today.
I get about 5 or 6 calls per day from this number [512-916-0420]. I answered it once- it was a fundraising call. I asked the caller to call at another time, and sure enough, the calls don't stop coming! I haven't received them at late night hours (I'm in Hawaii Standard Time zone), but they are persistent during the day.
Phone rang about 3 times, but there was no one on the line when I answered. Hate to waste the money, but I was curious. I star 69ed and called the above number after blocking my number with star 67. The phone rang a few times and then went to a busy signal. I voted for Kerry so it might be politcal as others have said.
Calls MANY times, from early in the morning to so late at night it wakes me up. AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER. :(
The caller continues to call this 96 year old woman even though she is listed on the Do NOT Call list.
Hey, just so you know, the Do Not Call list doesn't apply to political groups, or non-profit organizations. What a pain, huh? Anyway, the best way to get them to stop calling is to call the number back, and ask to have it removed from their list...happy day
I am so sick of these calls. I can't even answer my phone. Theyare calling every hour now.
Many such calls, the most recent just now. Why would it be worth anybody's money to pay for these zillions of calls if they never say anything when somebody answers?
I laugh at the messages from people who "used to" work for Telefund. (If it's so great, why aren't you still working for them? One possible answer can be found in the next paragraph.) My personal rule of thumb is that anyone who makes an unsolicited phone call, be it for charity or to sell something, is a crook. I base this on personal experience, having been ripped off several times before I wised up. If everyone would take this stance, there would be no spam phone calls (no spam emails, either). I don't care if they're "representing" God Himself or if they "only" keep 65% (according to dailykos.com) of the money. The answer is always, always, always NO.Also found on dailykos.com: "While the Democratic Party, among others, doles out hundreds of thousands of dollars to this company, its treatment of its employees and its aggressive tactics toward donors leaves many disillusioned and cynical with both this company and the groups it purportedly represents."
