I'm happy to support charities, and I do, but I absolutely hate being badgered about it via phone. The charities that I do give to have my e-mail address, let them use that. When it rings, I just pick up the phone and hang up. If I thought there would be anyone there I would tell them to tell whatever charity you are soliciting for that they have just lost me as a contributor. If you give directly to a charity, then at least the charity gets 100% of the money. If you give to Telefund, telefund keeps a percentage for their efforts. Wonder how high it is? 5% 20%...bah
I would like to be removed from all of your calling list please.Thank you for your consideration
This number is from Telefund. I was getting 4 - 6 calls a day from them. If you go to Telefund's website, under the "contact us" section, you will find a number to their various call centers. When you call, you will be given the option of giving your number, so that it may be taken off their call list.
I was getting bombarded several times a day by Telefund calls on my home phone. I called Verizon and discovered I could activate my plan's "call screening" list by dialing *60. The beauty of this service is that you can either add a number to it OR press option 2 and they will both add the number of the last call AND repeat it to you! So I've been both adding calls that way and also keeping a list of numbers they added. So far, there have been no Telefund calls from ANY number. Fingers crossed! The only downside is that they say 12 numbers is the maximum you can add. But so far I've added 25 numbers, recorded them on a list I keep near the phone, and and so far have not gotten any repeats. Again, fingers crossed! My guess is most companies" phone plans have a similar service.
I'm sorry to tell you this, but political organizations and charities are EXEMPT from the Do Not Call rules! So, if Telefund is a calling service for political organizations, you have no recourse at all. You can take the call and ask to be removed from the list; but they buy those lists, and so you'll end up back on it eventually. Your best bet, really, is to block those calls if you can, and just ignore them if you can't.
You don't have to tell them they're being recorded. Texas is a one-party state, so as long as one party (you) knows the conversation is being recorded, it's fine.
This number has called 4 times today, last call was at 9pm on the dot!Never heard of them. The robo callers did slow down for me during the holidays, then it seemed to pick up yesterday, today has been insane! WTF??My phone is also maxed out of call block..Only allowed 30 numbers on my Panasonic. (Verizon, they can't seem to fix my problem.) My NYE resolution...ditch this tainted landline number, it's seriously infected by these f--ks!( *I would ditch the number, phone completely, but I still use it for faxing )
Hi everyone, this number calls my cell and I see that they are calling and I hit the button that doesn't allow me to hear the ring and the call goes through and if they want to leave a message they can. Pretty soon the number stops calling. I really don't know what all the fuss is about. If you allow them to drive you crazy, they will. This is the way I handle all of these types of calls. I happened to see this website that I can look up who is calling me and for curiosity sake and if it turns out to be something really important I put the number in here to see if somebody knows who it is. Usually it is a company looking for money, etc. Again, just as a suggestion, don't let them drive you crazy in the first place and they will very quietly go away.
