I answered and no one spoke right away, so I hung up to look up the number. I called them back and got a recording explaining they were Telefund, a company that makes political calls, and that I could leave a message with them to have my number removed from their list. I left a message.
I get calls from this number 2-3 times a day including evenings! Enough is enough. Who is this/what company is this? They need to stop. NOW.
I have received numerous calls from this number (512-916-0420), as well, despite being on the do-not-call registry. I emailed the company (nsaunders@telefund.com) to be removed from their lists and then promptly got yet ANOTHER call!
Here is their contact info. I called their Austin, TX line and their message machine said that if you leave your number you will be "promptly removed" from their call list. This number continues to call my cell phone every couple of days for over a month. Do not know this number and I've never picked it up.
Relentless calls to home, office, and cell. they have several offices, and state they cannot entirely remove one's name from their database. they state one office may commit to ceasing calls, but that their other sites will not. They are harassing, and sometimes frightening. On occasion, there will be male callers who forget (I imagine) to hang up on my answering machine, and are having disgusting conversations with one another. They obtained my personal information via the ASPCA as a result of donations. The ASPCA denies knowledge of them, and telefund told me that this is the response ASPCA staff are told to offer the public during complaint calls about telefund.
Seriously? All of these reports have one thing in common YOU NEVER ANSWER. I work for telefund and guess what you have to do JUST ANSWER. We aren't working their for the pay(which isn't so great) or the people we talk to(which most are very rude and forget we are also human just doing our jobs) we work there because WE BELIEVE IN THE CAUSES. We are just calling from organizations that YOU SUPPORT not selling anything or trying to con you. But trying to work for worthy causes and you wonderful supporters keep alive. If you're busy just answer and TALK to us. Don't cuss at us or take your anger towards us. We are human, most of us paying our way thru college or working for our kids. If you don't want anymore calls all you have to do it ANSWER and tell us "hey love the group, but if like to be taken off the call list, thank you" I promise you will be greeted with a "ok I totally understand I'll do that right now, thank you for answering :)"All my coworkers are educated and well mannered so it really tramples our day when we get that person cussing us out and basically treating us like we are beneath them. And if you ask once and we still call just know if you support multiple organizations you have to be removed from each organization individually. We are working with outdated technology so please bear with us as technology isn't always the best. Thank you in advance.
