So far today (9-18-13) I have received three (3) phone calls from 513-229-9279...all of which I did NOT ANSWER. They leave no message. I am in VA and do not wish to get these calls!!!!
Got a call from this# today at 5:10PM. I didn't pick up and no message was left. The area code says it's in southwest Ohio. A day or two ago my wife picked up a call from this same # that had the name "OHIO" as caller name. They told her they were a fund-raising outfit, Campus Crusade for Christ, and she politely told them "No way". We do, infact, contribute yearly to this organization, and receive many mailings from them. Far too many, actually. We do not need the intimidation of a phone call!

Heifer International is a great charity, but this number is not their number. Always donate directly to a charity so they will get 100% of the donation; NEVER donate thru these telemarketer calls. Even if the charity has hired them to make the calls (and how do you know for sure?) the marketer always takes a cut.
I, too, never pick up numbers I don't recognize - especially if they are out of state. A live person asked for me or my husband but then hung up when I didn't pick up. I've been on the DO NOT CALL list since it started but I don't see any change. It's just like trying to remove my name from catalog lists. Good luck with that!
