I have had several calls in the past week or more. The party will not answer nor identify themselves, nor will a message be left if the phone is not answered and it goes to voicemail. The latest call came in at 11 p.m., and that is most annoying. I have no idea who is calling me, nor why they are calling.

I got a phone call from 514 288 0420 saying there from Scotia bank they were asking me questions about the devices as Scotia bank I repiked with a yes or no answer or excellent or goodThan after they asked for my birthday year

I put my number on that website which was posted in 2007 a couple of years ago. It is now 2015 and they are still calling me, so don't put your number on the site, don't call them and ask to be taken off their list, or even acknowledge them in any way. BLOCK THE NUMBER if you can or hang up on them or they will continue to harass you once they know you have an active number. That is their job. The only recourse is if they are using a robo caller which is supposedly illegal in Canada then you can complain to the CRTC. for all the good it will do you, and I doubt any.

This guy proves these people are just a bunch of a-holes, doesn't he. Tell your bank or whoever these creeps represent what kind of people they are and give them a copy of the above post telling them if they call you again you will drop them as a service provider and choose someone else. What better gauge of their service performance do they need than that?

Yeah but if people bothered to check they would see that 514 is Quebec and it does not cost $200 to call there

I requested my number be removed from their call list and they called again the next day, so you are wasting your time requesting to be taken off their list. There was an employee from Neilsen/Optima (owners of this number) who posted earlier in this forum that they deliberately and purposely harass people who refuse to cooperate with them. This should be illegal. I suggest everyone who reads this contact their federal member of parliament and demand that market research be added to the list of robo calling morons not able pester people who have registered with the Do Not Call Registry for this very reason as constant harassment from agents and peddlars (and that is all they are) is the main reason the registry was set up first place.

I won't bet money on Snopes. It is a husband and wife in Calif. They are often proven wrong.

Actually, 514 is from Montreal

Received this unknown call on my cell phone. Will not answer unknown calls. I do not want to be bothered by them and I do not want to eat away my minutes. Wish they would go away.
