You mean the people don't know what it is about as soon as they start asking questions? Don't be silly, if they don't like banks they can still hang up and the survey is spoiled. Or if the person calling refuses to answer the question they can hang up anyway
The trouble with the current telephone iD technology is our caller iD info is based on what outgoing info they wish us to see and not their actual number they are calling from. This can be easily changed if they are using a computer controlled or company lined system.
Ever tried telling people that they can be taken off the list instead of waiting for them to ask? Because they may not know that a-holes like you EVER stop harassing them for any reason ever. I mean that wouldn't be too difficult would it? "Would you like us to take you off our list if we are disturbing you sir or ma'am." Try repeating that over and over it has a nice ring to it.

it is true that calling some 900 numbers can cost you tremendous amounts of money (maybe $200), but this is NOT a 900 number, but a regular number.
Why would the government stop it? For one thing it is Market Research not Telemarketing which is all government Do Not Call Registries are supposed to stop and for another who the hell do you think the government is working for? You? Hell no they are working for the people who slip them MONEY. Corporations, lobbyists. NOT YOU. A recent survey of laws passed by government compared to those things the 'people' actually wanted showed no correlation. However when compared to what corporations or the wealthy wanted the correlation was 100%.
