I have received my first call from 514-555-5555 D. Purdy today. The man tried telling me they were from a Debt relief company, keep in mind he did not specify a name or corporation. Being that I have no credit cards and really the only debt is my mortgage, I asked that he not call again. He has called 5 times now since that first call just today. I suggest blocking the number from your phone if you have the ability or calling your phone carrier and looking into other alternatives. I am also on the Do Not Call List and feel it really is just a joke!
I have been getting calls from 514-555-5555, 20 times a day for 4 to 5 days now. How do I get it to stop? I refuse to answer it because I know its a hoax. They call and call and will not leave a message.
6 calls in 1 day with misleading caller id Dir Asst as if they were from the phone company. Never leaves message.
I've recieved calls from this same number (514-555-5555) and I have no clue how they got it, I have not given out this phone number to anyone or any online service in over a few months now. The first one left a partial message 2 weeks ago, mostly in really bad english with a heavy asian accent (I don't think she knew the voice mail had kicked in yet and someone was yelling in the background) and I recently answered one to see who it was which I was told I had one some camera thing and I hung up while he was in mid-sentence.Looked up the number in whitepages.com and found it registered to a D Purdy, 7670 Iberville so I entered that data into mapquest.com and found directions to Malone Texas, 7670 Iberville dr off County Road 3441. (Iberville drive is a private driveway and is not registered as a valid road, which I assume is why it came up with County Road 3441)I'm not sure if this is really the homebase of the scammer(s) as they have been manipulating Verizon, Sprint and a Canadian Bank's caller ID numbers.
tehy called me and said i coukd have a digital camers for only 1.29 if i gave them my checking account number.when i said no they hung up and called back 3 times.
Started getting these calls about two weeks ago. I got three calls from them in the span of an hour! I never answer the call - and they're calling my cell. My phone company doesn't block numbers for me. It seems like the number of calls has increased. We'll see how long I can put up with it before a) it stops or b) I change my number.
