calls are coming in from 5149580000 only to hear a fax machine tone

I had moved and had to get a new phone number and with the new number came this very annoying problem. I too am getting these calls. They are fax tones and come in 3 calls in a row, and seem to only come on Mondays.I called this opt out number I found here and I was able to put in my number to have it removed from their phone list. call 1 866-317-4701. I hope it works.. only time will tell..

I've been getting the calls for more than 6 months. The have never started earlier than 8:30 am, but they are still annoying as hell! Always come in a string of 2 or 3. I was going to block the 514 number, the one that actually shows up as opposed to being shown as "Unknown caller", but I looked at this forum first.Dialed this number, as seen on page 2 of this forum - 866-317-4701It says I've been removed. Hopefully it works!

This number which is a fax line keeps calling at all hours. I found a number to call and it says that you will be removed from their list. We will see. The number is 1-866-317-4701

Called twice shortly after 8am. First call showed 514-958-0000 then called as Unkown/Unkown. Sounds like a fax machine. However, my fax is down so I did not receive anything. This is a main business line so we dont qualify under the "DoNotCall" rules. If you have every listed your phone number as a business #, it gives telemarketers, solicitation callers, the ability to contact your number without retribution.

I finally let the fax go through. The fax was one of those scams notifying that someone in your family has died in some foreign country and that you have millions of dollars waiting for you. This is just plain BS! Some one needs to take action. If this continues I will call bell telephone of Canada and complain. I am also calling CenturyLink and see what I can get done.

I keep getting junk faxes from this number and am on the "do not call" list.

This number is getting a very bad reputation. I received a disturbing call around 5:45am 12/9/12. I didn't pick it up, but other callers say they hear a fax machine signal.
