Had a missed call on my cell phone from this number. No voicemail left.

If the 'do no call' registry works, then why are you here? The 'do not call' registry works for about a month... then new people get your number and the same old crap starts again. I do renew mine every six months to a year, but... please... simply registering does NOT stop these scammers.

I've gotten 5 missed calls from this 515 number and it's annoying. Left no message and when I called no one answered. A waste of my time who ever this number belongs too.

You are correct. Simply registering will not stop all calls. Only the honest. Sometimes those registered posters who frequent this board can be both informative and yet less than polite at times. Let me advise you on a few things that hopefully will increase your understanding of the DNC. For one thing, the DNC was created for only one sole purpose. That purpose being to limit the number of sales calls by Legitimate and Registered American Based businesses who uses Telemarketing as a tool of business. Let me define the term "Telemarketing" as it applies to the purpose of the NDNC Registry. The FTC defines Telemarketing as telephone calling for the sale of products, goods, or services. Many people refer to all unwanted calls as telemarketing. They are not unless the meet the FTC definition. All American businesses who, because they want to maintain good standing with people in communities, obtain a copy of the FTC/DNC list by purchasing a copy of the updated list Every 31 days and Registering with the FTC in order to be eligible to purchase it. The DNC is not an agency. It is a part of the FTC and self funded by the approximately $3500.00 per year subscription and monies paid in fines (10 - 16k each) by businesses who violate. The DNC is not a law enforcement agency. It's purpose never did include tracking down criminals and unwanted callers. It ONLY bears responsibility and administers to those actual legitimate and American based businesses who are Registered and within the FTC data base. It does absolutely nothing else. People over the years have lost its true purpose because of the lack of knowledgeable and competent people who are giving incorrect information on forums such as this. One more thing. Once registered on the DNC list, always registered. When you re-register, your number goes in limbo for 31 days. Those honest businesses really do abide. At 10 - 16k per, they can't afford not to and they are easily pulled up in the data base and fined. Also remember that there are some entities that are not required to follow the list until you tell them to cease. Charities, political, surveys and a few others. Criminals and scofflaws are law breakers and are therefore handled by the appropriate law enforcement agencies.Hope this has helped somewhat. Pass it on to those you know.....who may not know.

I read a comment that said : they told her they work for Microsoft -she believed them and on her computer screen was a bank from Israel and the person sounded middle eastern!! I and many others have tried calling back n they DONT accept incoming calls! This is a scam or hacker

Called me after 7:30 pm. I picked up and said nothing knowing it had to be fishy, they hung up on me and I added them to my blocked call log.

Called me at 9:30 pm, no one on line when I answered, I called back and it says it can't receive calls.

called at 930 pm didnt answer so they are now blocked

Called my Google voice number, first time that's ever happened. Didn't leave a VM.

Recd call from 515 779-1914 on 19 May, 2015. Answered and heard a recording in Spanish which was very hard to even hear, and do not understand Spanish. Hung up immediately. How do you get a block on numbers such as this???? Thanks
