I answered my granddaughters phone as she doesn't take it to school. The person even asked for my granddaughter by NAME. When the person asked if I were her, I replied NO, I was her grandmother and who was she and what did she want with me granddaughter? She hung up on me. I called the number back immediately and a recording came on that said it wasn't a working number??? What gives??

I get these calls from this same number so to save my sanity I downloaded a silent ring tone for my cell phone and all spam calls I get I assign the silent ring tone to them, I list them in my contacts as Spam1, Spam2, Spam3...ect.This way they can all all the hell they want to but I never pick up the phone because I do not hear it ring.Makes them waste resources and eventually because I am not answering I eventually get dropped from the call list.You can win at this game you just need to be a bit smarter than they and their computers are. :)

I get calls from this number at least once a day (not including Sundays, yet). It's always someone with a fairly strong accent who mispronounces my name and then tells me there from something like the "Education Network." The last ten times, I've calmly but firmly said, "This is the nth time I've asked you to please take my number off your list." The first nine times, they hung up on me in the middle of my asking them to remove my number. The tenth time, the lady said ,"I will." I said, "Don't just say you will and then keep me on your list." "I'll remove it," she said. Well, a week later, and the phone calls have started again.
