I have a nice bit of software on a computer with a telephone modem that detects particular caller IDs and if the name and/or number is on my list, it plays a recorded message that starts with a SIT tone (that's the 3-note tone you hear when you dial a number that doesn't exist), then plays a message that says "we are not sorry that we don't accept calls from sleazy solicitors) and then it hanghs up. FMR Associates is on my list, but apparently their calling robot doesn't respond to SIT tones because they keep calling about once every two weeks. I will contact them directly and tell them about privacy laws. When you tell them you do not want them to call, they are violating the law when they do, so why don't you sheep (sorry, but you're all not taking the right path to stop them) get off your butts and protect yourself from jerks like FMR Associates who use such thoughtless techniques as predictive dialing to increase their chances of violating you? They are easy to find on the internet. Their contact information is readily available. Let them know you won't tolerate their abuse of your privacy.
Received call at 7:42 PM. When I answered the person on the line said nothing. I waited a few seconds and told whoever that if they did not speak up I would hand up. They they hung up. Strange. They call but don't want to say anything.
I just started getting calls from this number. Last nite called late, woke up my children on a school nite, then hung up when my oldest answered. I figured it maybe a wrong number and forgot about it. This am they've called 2x's and hung up when I answered. What is their deal?
Just "Google" FMR Associates and you'll find them under www.visittucson.org. Then you can call or email some or all of the principals of the company at some ridiculous time of the night and ask them to please quit calling you and take your number outta their "predictive" dialing computer program. Then maybe you can find some "knucklehead" that does answer the phone to ask them to put you on their "Do Not Call List". ( There's probably not alot to do out there in the desert, so they just pick up the phone a start dialing numbers til they get someone on the phone that wants to talk to them, Ha, Ha!)
"Google" FMR Associates. Then go to visittucson.org Then you'l have the info to contact to them to ask them to take a "survey", to please take you number outta their "predictive dialing computer or "take a hike"...( Pretty picture of the desert on the visit Tucson web page though). Good Luck!
Here's the email link to have your number removed form their call list. remove@FMRassociates.com
Great suggestion, I called the number and asked if they wanted to take a survey, when he said no, I told him I did not want to either. He offered to take me off the list.
