They call me every few days and always hang up on my machine. The VM was full when I called them back.

Added this phone number to the phone's blocking function several days ago. Voila! Short-rings once (to receive caller ID), disconnects the call, forever forgotten. May be my best investment: Panasonic KX-TG9541 phone. Handles 250 blocked numbers. Works like a charm.

you may misunderstand how call lists work. if the number rings, it is worth money. the person selling it doesn't care if you pick up, the autodialer dialing it doesn't care if you pick up. the only person who cares is the person buying the list to use for sales, and they don't know enough to question the autodialer they hire and pay a simple fee per dial. So, simply not answering is NOT going to get your phone to stop ringing or 'starve' anyone of business.

So, what was the point of the 'do not call' legislation? If there aren't penalties for chronic violators (which this phone # clearly represents), it's just another toothless law, clogging up the books!

A few minutes ago my house phone rang. It read private name, with the phone number 520-290-3741. Since I did not know the number, I did not answer. Whoever they are, they did not leave a message.

Got a call from them yesterday. I'll try sending email to remove@... and see if it works.

Received call at 7.30pm. We did not answer due to number not recognized. Will we did recognize it because it had called previously.This bring up another thought - what's gonna happen when they start calling cell phone numbers ?its bad enough now on my pre pay phone when some one dials me and its the wrong number - I ask them to pay me 10c for the call but they never do.
