FMR is a company that does market research surveys. Just go to FMR Associates website, click on Contact Info and there is an e-mail address: remove@FMRassociates.com with the specific instructions to put the word "REMOVE and PHONE NUMBER to be removed" in the subject line. Pretty simple and effective. No need for all the drama. Just request removal and/or block the number.
Call hang up at 417 pm PST. Keep reporting them to FCC. Whining here does no good. For those of you upset that you are on the DNC list and they call. Hellllooo --- you are blonde? Crooks do not abide by laws. One of the med alert scam that we got calls from nonstop the past two years has finally been caught and is shut down. However, there are a couple of copy cats of that scam. If these jerks change the number every month, it is difficult to track them. if you do not report every call you get, then they can now narrow in on them. Showing anger because the "system" does not work is just plain silly. When have crooks and thieves abided by any system? Oh, forgot -- common sense. So gone here. Report them and let elderly and infirm know to never answer the phone or interact with these perverts. That is their target, not the ones like you who scream and yell like spoiled brats. They love that, makes their day. They make the bucks by number of calls they interact with remember. Oh, you didn't know that either? Elections over, holidays here, scam time. Do not let these bad people ruin your month of legally spending money. Oh, and one more thing: You pick up or call them they know you are a legitimate phone number -- and sell your number to other crooks. Damn that common sense is annoying to loose, isn't it? Report report report. Surveys are exempt -- political ones -- send the complaint to the stop political calls effort on line.
Friendly Advice replyHere's some advice for you.1. You obviously do not know the Do Not Call list laws, you are WRONG (caps for you), the only calls allowed are political and non-profit. Survey companies are neither (unless specifically political). Survey companies do not work for free, they are hired by companies to get feedback from consumers.2. Hence the above LAW, this company and any other company calling our homes that do not fall into said 2 categories are calling your home ILLEGALLY! You got that right? ILLEGALLY.For you to suggest we be polite is a joke. They are not allowed to call us if we are on Do Not Call list in the first place, then we ask/tell them to stop calling, then they continue, you actually suggest we politely ask them to stop again, then again, then again? How old are you, 10? Maybe you don't have family and have plenty of time on your hands to answer every loser phone call. Most people have busy lives and do not want the interruption. Oh I must also address the comment made...I do not complain about my radio station, if I don't like a station, there's a thing called a button, turn it and it miraculously goes to another channel. I owe no one information, I owe no one my personal time unless I invite it. You act as though these poor callers need our kindness. Your mentality is just like these callers, no wonder you worked for them. The people I feel sorry for are children who have cancer or poor families or homeless people, etc NOT ILLEGAL CALLERS GETTING A PAYCHECK TO INTRUDE ON OUR HOMES. I hope one day you will grow up, own your own home with a wife and kids, then get average of 4 scam/illegal calls per day. Then come back here and tell us how you are being polite. Lol
Oh one last thing, I've asked "kindly" to be removed from call lists, I've been told to "f" myself", I've been told "I want to "f" you", my child was told there was a death in the family and he must get me on the phone. I could go on with these from the past 13 years. I'm done being "polite". Everyone please take note of your state laws, you can sue these people, if you tell them to stop and they call again, you can sue for every offense. Every state differs. Maybe if everyone starting suing these illegal intruders, hit 'um where it counts so to speak, they will find a job that actually is constructive. At the very least, likely they won't call your home again. It doesn't matter "where" they get your phone number, it's the fact they are using it illegally if you're on Do Not Call list! If I find a wallet on the street, I turn it into the police or call a number in wallet - it didn't matter how or where I found it, it's what I did with it! For gods sake, what's wrong with some people. There are times (briefly) I pity scam callers, they were not taught morals. Do not for one minute think that's the ONLY job they can find, no, it's the easiest. Many just call from their homes, just kick back, watch tv and harass people. They belong in prison along with hackers! That would be a sight! They could drive each other nutty lolOr get a blow horn and let loose in their ears - What are they going to do, sue you for hurting their ears? Remember back, it's illegal to call you, so they'd have to admit wrong doing first :)
These people are selling your information. They are just another form of telemarketer making a sale to their clients but hiding behind the bizarre legal exception of conducting a survey. Who got payed off in Congress to allow such utter nonsense? Do you want to effectively express your discontent? Look up the business owners and senior managers names in one of the various business directories (ask a librarian for help). Find the owners home phone number (again, ask the librarian for help if necessary). Most businesses have to list their owner's personal residence information in their state of incorporation for the business.Almost all this information is available on the Internet by using your local library's databases. Then call the owners at home to let them know what you think. Don't forget to block your telephone number.Call them over and over again during several days or weeks or months. Make it a legitimate call (no harrassment) by expressing a well-worded opinion or concern each time. Calling them at home in the evening and talking with family members will really get their attention! Don't use threats or bad language. Just be a giant pain in their butt! Pay back on telemarketers is sweet!!!
Yes i get several calls from them time to time. They do not leave a message and i do not answer the phone to fmr associates thanks to caller id. They are a pest.
MANY MANY CALLS. THEY CALL WITH NO RESPECT OF YOUR PRIVACY OR LEAVE A LONG HESITATION----------- THEN HANG UP. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO GET A FEDERAL ANGENCY INVOLVED.
